Honest 836 Report post Posted December 22, 2008 Nokia Unveils Mail on Ovi for Series 40 Devices With as many as 110 such devices in circulation today, the service could become a popular option for mobile email users. Nokia has officially unveiled its Mail on Ovi service "live", ready to be used on Series 40 handsets. The service includes Nokia s free email account. Users can create their own email address directly on their mobile phones without the need of a PC. The Ovi email account gives a person all the features and functionalities of a typical PC-based email account. During the Beta period, consumers will be able to choose from 12 languages based on the settings of their device. The languages currently supported include English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Hindi, Bengali, Tagalog, Bahasa Indonesia and Bahasa Malaysia. Users in India, Malaysia and the Philippines have been using the Beta service since November. It is now that the service has been extended to other countries. Almost all of the latest Series 40 handsets Nokia have launched in recent times support the service. With as many as 110 such devices in circulation today, Mail on Ovi could potentially become a popular option for mobile email users around the globe.
