lavi4u 0 Report post Posted December 25, 2008 A supposed 2009 Blackberry Roadmap posted suggests that we'll not only be seeing the Curve 8900 next year, but also a touchscreen Bold and a Storm with a slide-out keyboard. It only says that the touchscreen Bold (9900, codename "Pluto") will maintain the same form factor and keyboard, and that the Storm slider is unconfirmed and targeted towards Europeans. which in addition to the aforementioned phones, also makes reference to HSPA and EV-DO versions of the 8900 (referred to as the 9220 and 8930, respectively), a 3G Kickstart, as well as an EV-DO/HSPA Bold. It looks like Research in Motion is going to keep itself pretty busy next year, because this leaked roadmap for 2009 is pointing toward a few notable launches of new BlackBerry devices. Going a little further down the list, perhaps the two most notable mentions are that of a Touchscreen Bold 9900 "Pluto" and a Storm Slider. The touchscreen Bold will take on much the same form factor as the existing Bold 9000, except the display will be a touchscreen. We're expecting an announcement at 2009 WES with launches at AT&T and Rogers for about $199 to $299 with contract. The Storm Slider falls in line with products like the HTC Touch Pro. The BlackBerry Storm is the first touchscreen BlackBerry from RIM, but some people will still want a physical QWERTY keyboard. This is unconfirmed at this point, but we expect 3G, WiFi, and a Euro-centered release.

Mufaddal 678 Report post Posted December 26, 2008 after seeing the app store success and android market even balckberry is up with its application development ....but the major drwaback is their os iis still not open ....i guess itwill take a long time for b to come to the likes of android or even windows for that matter what bb is doing rire noe is just releasing high quality devices with faster processing power with better resloution and multimedia capabilities ....but it still lacks in features when u compare it with htc/nokia devices as far as android is concerned there r many handsets in pipeline from many manufactureres even some unheard chinese manufactueres..... and i m sure what htc didnt achieve on design front in making G1 will b achieved by other manufactureres .....so there r better "G1s " lying in the pipelines
