Vishal Gupta 4 Report post Posted September 7, 2004 I think PIN configuration is required for DATA Cable. I mean if someone wants to make a data cable for a mobile, he is required to know the PIN configuration of that mobile. Am I Right???

umeshd 0 Report post Posted September 8, 2004 maybe this will help-> PHONE SIDE: Pin 1 = Red (Voltage +) Pin 9 = White (Data) <--- I dont know if is RX or TX Data Pin 12 = Green (Data) <--- I dont know if is RX or TX Data Pin 14 = BLack (Ground) SERIAL DATA CABLE SIDE Pin 1 = Green Pin 5 = White Pin 6 = Black Pin 9 = Red Guys, I may be wrong but I clearly remember the serial port pin configuration on COM ports of PC's has pin's 2 & 3 as transmit and receive (or vice versa). In this pin configuration I don't see those pin numbers used at all. So a cable with that pin configuration on PC side should not work. I'll try to check my cable configuration tonight and post the same. Can anyone check this once again please ? Regards
