tanveer 59 Report post Posted January 2, 2009 Speed Limit 100 to 300 Please clarify 100kbps or 300kbps or 100KBps , 100 to 300 is very ambiguous I think it would be former than the latter. Donth they always tell the connection speed in bps (256 kbps or 2mbps) and its the download rate that is mentioned usually in kBps. No hard rule. Just my observation. Torrent speed would depend on a lot of things. Besides your connection type, it would depend on whether it is a private or a public tracker, S/L ratio and whether the ports are forwarded properly or not. StaticElectricity 8 Report post Posted January 2, 2009 u mean minimum: 100kbps and max:300kbps and you say ur getting 60 down and 70up .... check it with a speedtest, take a screenshot and complain. If the issue only occours on torrents, u shud know about selecting good torrents. Search google for "good torrents" u'll get a list of rules.
ssr 10 Report post Posted January 2, 2009 (edited) for an 100kbs (not kBs) connection u can only get max 12-13kBs download speed in any type of download if u are getting less in torrent try searching in different torrent search engines and add the trackers to the current download. and if the seed to peer ratio is not good whatever u do, u wount be able to download at full speed. To check the download speed either do a speedtest or try to download some linux distribution from torrent/web or download Norton antivirus updates from symantic site.
