Honest 836 Report post Posted January 2, 2009 ^^^ Yes my dear Abhishek, as of now IDEA Data Card (Netsetter) is the best option. You can have the review about IDEA Netsetter in the below mentioned thread : http://www.rimweb.in/forums/index.php?show...et+setter\
Arun 795 Report post Posted January 2, 2009 I've seen a topic where the member was getting very good speed with Idea GPRS with EDGE. If EDGE service is available in your area, I would suggest you to go for it.

Honest 836 Report post Posted January 2, 2009 My dear Abhishek, their are many issues with Reliance Network in Mumbai now a days. No matter, whichever Data Card you buy, but just keep in mind that IDEA Netsetter is already 3G enabled, means their's no need to upgrade the hardware when 3G is allowed. And Reliance Data Cards don't have EVDO even. Thats the basic difference. I'm using IDEA Data Card without any hassles.

Although it would be great if thats really the case. We can actually call it plug & play if the CD need not be carried around.

Mufaddal 678 Report post Posted January 3, 2009 yes relinace net connect is better my frend has idea connection ...and he keeps whinning about the network
Honest 836 Report post Posted January 3, 2009 In Idea Netsetter's Dialer, their's a connection bar which shows the signal strength. I get the best speeds even at 10% signal strength. Although in my Area mostly I get signal strength nearly 90-5% but sometimes when signal strength drops then also their's no problems in downloading or uploading. For me Idea Rocks. ACS 130 Report post Posted January 4, 2009 What? then what is the CD in the box for? CD for Win 98, 2000, NT(Though XP and Vista too) Got it? Still didn't understand by what ur trying to say.. If the CD is for all o/s' then why do you say u don't require a CD & that EC121 is plug n play?
@mitJ@in 256 Report post Posted January 4, 2009 CD is not required for XP and Vista. Drivers for XP and Vista can be downloaded directly from USB Data Card.
rbpyogesh 0 Report post Posted January 8, 2009 Have Any one Tried BSNL GSM Data card Their UL plans are very Good and cheaper than Idea I guess it is also 3G enabled
Honest 836 Report post Posted January 8, 2009 ^^^ My dear friend, no doubt that unlimited usage tariffs in BSNL data card is really low, but one of our dearest member (kshah) had used it and he told that the speed is really pathetic. You can search the forum and read kshah's views on BSNL data card. Regards.
Asit 4 Report post Posted January 9, 2009 Is there any GSM datacard available from BSNL? Kamalbhai, I think kshah used the EVDO card of BSNL, not the GSM one.
Honest 836 Report post Posted January 9, 2009 ^^^ Oh thanks for correcting me, my dear Asit. It was the EVDO data card which was used by kshah.
