Gtran Discontinued?

i was going through the relianceinfo.com website and i find no mention of gtran gcp4020 in the handset payment options. has the model been discontinued by reliance? :quest: will be continue to get service and support?

only stock has ended in some city. actually in color hungama this was the most wanted phone.

N191 also went out of stock but is now back, hope to GTRan soon.

But GTran is available in some cities

I think few pieces of GTRAN are available at RWW in Borivali West (mumbai)

As far as the support goes I talked to the guys at RWW and he was absolutely positive about it. Also there are GTRAN auth. service centres in major cities. So just chill and relax dude :)

Rworld will be fully functional on GTran by 15th Sept 04.

i am also waiting for software upgrade. hope to get soon.

those who can visit authorized service centres of Gtran should tell their problems at ASC. they can provide us help in some way

i hv no GTran ASC in my city. so helpless.

How come you guys bought a phone for which there is no service for in your city? :) What would you do if you need repairs, etc?

To give u all some good news, the ringtone section of RWORLD for GTRAN has already been made functional ! <_<

You gotta delete few tones / keep 1 or more tone slots empty before downloading the ringtone from R WORLD ... this is so because it supports downloading in a free slot but doesnt support replacing an existing tone.

ringtones are saving since 2nd Aug but mms inbox still does not open.

I complained to the chairman regarding R world and other features not seen on GTRAN and got the following prompt reply:-

In  response  to your mail regarding Multi Media Messages features in GTRAN

handset,  currently  Multi Media Messages can be send to and  received from

RelianceindiaMobile subscriber only.

Further, to your concern regarding ICICI bank feature in R World, currently

this  feature  is  anot  available  in  G  TRAN  handset. The same shall be

communicated to you through Call Centre medium whenever facilitated.

tanveer tell them that u r able to receive MMS but unable to open inbox of MMS.
