ani_meher 42 Report post Posted January 5, 2009 I opened an ebay store for selling Big bazaar vouchers, which I was getting from Indiatimes. I have had quite a few orders. Almost all were shipped. Now ebay has this intermediary system called Paisapay, which is for protection of buyer and seller. When you buy any item, money goes to Paisapay, and only when you confirm the receipt of that item, Paisapay releases that money to the seller. Now I have more than 30000 to be paid through Paisapay. Today they were supposed to relive it. However, today morning, I received 2 consecutive mails, one saying my account was on hold, and other saying it was suspended! When I contacted the online customer care, they said the account was suspended, and all the money would be paid back to the buyers! Now why is that? I have not done a single false trade. All the trades can be proved. I have provided the KYC documents and paid the invoice (damn it I shouldn't have paid it this morning). And they are not giving any reason at all, just saying I violated their terms. How am I supposed to recover money now I am seriously thinking of going to Consumer Court. Please advise, urgently. dkaile 1,051 Report post Posted January 5, 2009 Be persistent with your mails to them; communicate your problem and dilemma properly that you have already paid for the goods ordered and they will listen, though it may take some time; They only want to confirm that you are genuine.... dkaile 1,051 Report post Posted January 5, 2009 You are a seller not a buyer at ebay; and they have their own sets of rules which you have agreed to when signing on... will be very tricky to get around them... Just explain your position and shown them proof of your purchases like Invoicing etc.; they once had suspended my a/c also when I was selling a used laptop; but on showing them proper proofs my a/c was restored.... Sadikk 301 Report post Posted January 5, 2009 Have u sold any of vouchers to Negros?? From Sudan or Nigeria?? also every reply CC to every possible ministry from finance to PMO. (It works trust me). tell them u can give any hard copy of documents if needed. They are suspending accounts on random basis, where those account were lull and now money flowing in, they suspend it. kshah 452 Report post Posted January 5, 2009 Do they restrict selling of discount vouchers? They may have some restrictions why they have blocked your account. Check all your vouchers have reached to your customers and have all POD (Proof of delivery), scan it and sent it to paisa pay. deepu 0 Report post Posted January 6, 2009 i dont think there is any restriction for selling discount vouchers on ebay. they themselves have discount vouchers and gift card schemes. If you feel that there is nothing wrong with your transactions then give them all proofs they need. Record all your conversations with the people from ebay. If possible get a lawyer to call them on your behalf and tell them you are going to file a case. Damn 30K is still a lot of money in India. 3 years back i had a similar experience with ebay as a buyer but. I bought an item and got it defective. Seller asked me to send it back to get a replacement... but the replacement did not come. The ebay people asked me to send them the proofs and all for purchase.. which I did. After that there was no reply from them.... no refunds at all... Since it was for Rs. 600 I just left it.... there was no other option.. But after this I stopped purchasing from ebay india. Last I spoke with him on Friday, when he first said he will not return the money soon coz all his refunds were not made. E bay usually deals fairly as far as my experience is. Recently I had problem with buyer, who received goods and said he did not received and initiated refund claim, I submitted all proofs and they released my payment. Within 7 days of initiation of refund claim. I will suggest you to go thru its terms again and then go to consumer court / take legal action. I am sure your grievance will be addressed. ani_meher 42 Report post Posted February 4, 2009 I got the reason from ebay. I work in an office where we have firewalled access. One of the employees used the same pc that I use to order stuff from me, as he was getting discount. When ebay told me I was accused of creating false accounts, I showed them readiness to contact that guy, also if the need be, we can send mail through compamy account so that they can be assured that this is the case. Communicating with ebay is like communicating with a pig, you get the same dumb squeaky response no matter how you communicate with them. I suggest all never to use ebay for selling stuff. ani_meher 42 Report post Posted February 9, 2009 Guys, seems this guy is intent on duping my money He told me last week that he was depositing 9000rs in my account, and when I called him today, he said he already deposited money in my ICICI account, which is a complete lie. I do not even have an ICICI account, I communicated my HDFC account to all buyers. Then he suddenly went in rage and all, and said I won't discuss this matter with you, I dealt with you through Ebay, so ebay should talk to me. I told him ebay is now out of question, and it is only him and me. On which his only answer was he will talk to ebay. He is not even mailing my stuff back which he bought. ani_meher 42 Report post Posted May 4, 2009 A good news!!! I successfully got the money from the buyer! That buyer stopped communicating with me, and picking up my calls. Unfortunately for him and fortunately for me, two things happened: 1. All transaction was done in white and not in black. I had all the receipts from Indiatimes.com showing I ordered the vouchers and sent to his address. 2. Most importantly, my wife, who is a lawyer, intervened She called him up to give him warning. He even tried to cut the phone, saying he didn't have time. But after listening to the call, warning him to either pay or to be ready to be present in Pune court for defending himself, did the trick! He called me up, saying there was this and that reason that I behaved so etc. I got the money in 3 installments, no interest of course, but atleast I recovered the principal! So guys, if someone is trying to cheat you, don't worry. If the transactions are done in white, you can take court's help!
