chandramauli 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2004 Hi Vishal / Saurav & All, Q. What do i want to do excatly ?? A. Well, supose if the phone supports GSM sim cards (i dont think they support) but if they do then we could probably try to use CDMA & GSM ?? I have seen GSM phones that have two sim cards in one phone (so you get 2 diff nos.) If this thing works out, we wouldnt have to carry 2 cell phones , the 2nd advantage would be of the coverage CDMA has less coverage than the GSMs at present so where there is no network may be the GSM wud help I know it sounds difficult to implement it coz both work on diff. technologies... but nothing is impossible these days !!! kartikeyamishra 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2004 Motorola C131 cannot be used on GSM networks, the SIM card that u r talking about is actually called RUIM card, which is CDMA's equivalent of a SIM card. And yes u can use the C131 one on the TATA Indicom network, but since ur phone is presentlu configured on the Reliance Network, the NAM chip of the phone would need to erased of that infomation. If u have bought the phone (which i presume u most likely have), then go to the folks at TATA Indicom, they'll erase that info and u should be easily be able to use that phone on the TATA network .
