Vilas2k3 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2009 There are many issues - could be HTC handset related to WM6 or WM6 alone? Three issues currently observed: 1. Does built-in IE in WM6 provide secure transaction capabilities? (like most trading sites). If not, what are the ways? 2. Bluetooth works well on laptop and mobile handset separately but could not be used to run ActiveSync? since Laptop Bluetooth says "could not find Activesync service on mobile, though, on mobile activesync is working. Using cable, Activesync works well. 3. Any suggestions on some cleanup tools to remove stray / junk on mobile?
Mufaddal 678 Report post Posted January 21, 2009 these issues have nothing to do with win mobile 6 or your handset ...these are issues faced by many ppc/pda users 1. Does built-in IE in WM6 provide secure transaction capabilities? (like most trading sites). If not, what are the ways? according to microsoft yes IE can provide secure transactions but my advive is not to do secure transactions thru mobile phones 2. Bluetooth works well on laptop and mobile handset separately but could not be used to run ActiveSync? since Laptop Bluetooth says "could not find Activesync service on mobile, though, on mobile activesync is working. Using cable, Activesync works well. can you pair your device with your laptop???? most common problem for this issue is com port conflicts ,make sure the com port for your bluetooth on your laptop is corresponding to com port on ppc otherwise u wont be able to use active sync read this set up guide HERE given by htc to active sync via bluetooth it also mentions the same thing about com ports 3. Any suggestions on some cleanup tools to remove stray / junk on mobile? yes you can use sk tools or pocket mechanic ...both these could be found in request software for win mo 5/6 thread
