Recommended Posts

In compliance with TRAI's directive to follow the prevalent c e l l u l a r m o b i l e n u m b e r p l a n applicable throughout I n d i a , R e l i a n c e Infocomm on August 28, 2004, announced the migration of its s u b s c r i b e r s i n Himachal Pradesh to the new, ten digit mobile numbering plan. Following this, all RIM numbers in Himachal Pradesh will now begin with '93'.

Apart from customer mailers and banners, the company is also sending out SMSs and IVR based autooutcall to customers, to inform them about the migration and about their new numbers. The company has ensured that after the number change, all calls and SMSs to the old number will automatically be forwarded to the new number till November 30, 2004, following which, a voice call will a s s i s t t h e c a l l e r regarding the number change. This service will be provided free of cost.

In order to check the new Reliance numbers of other customers, one can call the toll free number *388 from a RIM or 3033 8888 from any other phone. The '93' migration related information can also be availed on R World in the 'All About 93' section, or by visiting the Infocomm website, www.relianceinfo.com and clicking on to 'All About 93'. The customer care at *333 and the WebWorld executives will also help in providing this migration related information.
