Before RIM came as far as i remeber none of the GMS operators offered these service for free ..and ur MMS thing its free only to AirTel to AirTel ... GSM guys are baised... they charge high for calls to CDMA ..even their SMS charges are high. Atleast RIM isnt baised !!!! and these GSM operator are beggers man ...for everything they want to charge something or the other (eg. free sms -25 Rs , night talk plans 49rs...)and some GSM users say RIM is for the beggars ..wht **** are they talking !! Reliance is not my company .. if reliance also goes the GSM way i wouldnt appreciate...and i would opt out !! When i send SMS to other GSM it charges 60 paise. But when i send SMS to Reliance (RIM & FWP both) it charges 1 Re. Even the SMS doesnt received by receiver but BSNL charges for it. MMS service in Airtel is completely free till new tariffs are announced.. Its free to all supported providers like Hutch, Airtel etc. Airtel got some 500 - 1000 users subscribed to GPRS facilities.
