This is as usual in RCOM. But then one spends Rs 800 per month to get 500 minutes free and also all local calls at 50ps and all STD and roaming calls at 1 buck for LT. How long this call charges remain is a debatable point. In TN, Aircel has started offering 600 free minutes to mobiles plus 5000 local/national SMS, plus all LL and STD calls at 1 buck for a monthly rental of Rs 225 only. (See the topic posted elsewhere on this forum) RCOM does not mention anywhere that the call charges will vary (read - go lower) as per the market trends. And knowing RCOM, it is debatable if they will offer lower rates in future if the tariffs fall. Anyway, good calculations, keep it up.... Thanks for enlightening the readers here..... With RCOM, one has to keep trying with CCe atleast 5 to 6 times and you will get different results each and every time. If you recharge with 4444, then you get 500 minutes local and STD R2R every month for lifetime. Anyway, I think pkdaga will be able to re-confirm. @mods, there is a similar topic going on elsewhere, please merge this topic with that. ravi_patent 28 Report post Posted February 23, 2009 (edited) dear himanshu even without consensus some times certain things can be usefull for some if not for all .this a good if not great plan at least for me .though i am angry that reliance has withdrawn 496 unlimited for prepaid customers..but my usage of 1500 mins pm is best taken care of forever if i recharge all the 3 numbers belonging to us for ever by recharging once with 4444..the nominal 200 for 6 months is not going to be abig amount considering the inflation in this country ...btw one of the 3 numbers is having a long validity in view of similar offer i got 1.5 years back (recharge for 1947rs and 1947 days validity along with same value talk time).this is another reason i like prepaid but again this another area where hardly any consensus exists.sometimes certain expectations now matter how reasonable they are will not be fullfilled by the market forces and the only remedy is competition.after the withdrawl of 496 prepaid i have moved to 770 unlimited and then to virgin in early february and now Reliance only compliments my needs.it is easy to see that reliance it self was equally a big looser but relaince doesnt recognize that.. cheers Edited February 25, 2009 by ravi_patent Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

So total cost of pack is Rs.100 per month. or Rs.3.33 per day 16.66 min RIM to RIM STD/ Local +( 2.22 min any local calls OR 1.11 min any STD call ) per day = Rs 3.33 per day + All Local calls to any network Rs. 0.50 + All STD calls to any network Rs. 1.00 + All Incoming & Outgoing calls while roaming Rs. 1.00 However, that is still a very good plan. ROI = Rate of Interest Any lump sum payment means u are blocking that much funds for that period of time in advance. It has an interest cost from the point of the customer and an interest income for the service provider. So any calculation must consider the interest cost factor also. (its something like a reverse EMI or Annuity - you pay in advance at the start and then get the benefits of equal value over a fixed period of time.) stiwari 2 Report post Posted February 27, 2009 There is one more calculation for recovering this money,Today STD rate is Rs 1.50 per minutes, with special voucher it is Rs 1 and BSNL has launched a plan 50 paise STD with Rs 375 rent per month. So average of 50 paise STD and Rs 1.50 is 1.5+.50=75 paise per min if we take the price of calling will fall to 50 paise per min in 4-5 years with out putting any special tarrif voucher. Then getting 500 min free will give you benefit 500 min x Rs0.75= Rs 375 benefit per month.So we recover our money in 4444/375= 11.8=12 months only I suggest to go ahead with this plan Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
