Bablus 66 Report post Posted March 4, 2009 How would you rate this http://cgi.ebay.in/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewIt...em=130291018452
ssr 10 Report post Posted March 4, 2009 (edited) First of all it has a 7" display, donot know How much confortable u will be with such a small display. you can only use this for browsing, may become very slow with other things. CPU is manufactured with 90nm process which is pretty old. finnaly purpose of the having a tablet is to use it on the move. 3 Cells with 3 Hrs Idle Condition it tells 3hrs in idel conditions that means if 3hrs if do nothing.(They are not telling the condition of display and other devices) So if u use the laptop, battery will be over very quickly. afterthat it just a paperweight in your bag What I am sujjesting is, Write down you requirements. compare it with what this will offer and then decide. Also from the information I got, if you are looking for cheap tablet from abroad, you can look at refurbished models starting for $600. you could also go with the capacitive touch Dell XT starting at $790 (there's often a 20% off coupon to make that $630). Bablus 66 Report post Posted March 4, 2009 Display of 7" is okay for the convenience it offers.. Was not aware about the CPU thing.. 600$ goes a little high, my friend was looking between 350-400$.. Still Dell offer is an interesting one..

But if u are looking for a cheap tablet. means touch book/tablet netbook currently only gigabyte and 'Always Innovating' has products. Asus and few other companies are in que. Touch screen itself adds lot of weight in the final pricing. If you are always on the move, very important is battery life and size/weight of entire device so depending on that make your decision. ami1 237 Report post Posted March 6, 2009 I have been using tablet PC for last 4 years as i've RSI in my wrists due to excessive compulsive usage earlier in my career. I have HP TC 4400 - no problems in 3 years. though Tablets are priced at a slight premium, the build quality is much better than laptops as Cos have been trying to make this category pickup. have only upgraded RAM from 512mb to 2.5gb. Runs Windows 7 (much faster than XP) & PCLinux. Excellent handwriting recognition & good speech to text. Am looking at replacing with either lenovo X200 or HP TZ2500/TZ2 - HP still selling very bad old models in India so waiting for these to be available. Good deal at the mall adjacent to INORBIT for 40K
