Saurav 22 Report post Posted September 16, 2004 I have been complaining to Reliance chairman's office regarding the Rworld applications and SMS problem for the last two months but have not been able to get any significant response. to my latest complaint I have got the following response: This is in reference to your mail addressed to the Chairman. In response to your mail regarding inability to use Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) , we would like to inform you that we have forwarded your complaint to our Technical team and your issue will be resolved to your satisfaction at the earliest. Further, the facilities like Airline Info, Travel guide, Cocktails, Health Calc, mcoupons, ICICI and Rahukalam, are currently not supported by GTRAN Handset. The same shall be communicate to you after relevant customer care mediums whenever it is facilitated. We regret delay in reply and the inconvenience caused to you. We are constantly trying to improve our services. Looking forward to your co-operation. For further details, you can visit our web-site www.relianceinfo.com. You could write to us at customercare@relianceinfo.com or fax us at 3033 6565. You can also call Reliance Customer Care at 3033 3333 or by dialling *333 from your Reliance IndiaMobile. Yours sincerely, Nikhil Mishra Customer Service Chairman's Office Today I also had conversation with them and at *333. Final result available is that they are working to provide MMS facility but other Rworld applications are not being worked upon. This is also evident from the fact that the latest application Railway reservation is not available only on GTran color handset. All other color handsets have got this application. Even recently introduced LG 5130 has got. Even chairman office officer said that other applications are not compatible with GTran so they r not available. Till date Reliance has no where mentioned that many applications of Rworld are not available on GTran. They have only provided info that voice ring tones do not work on GTran. Therefore, Reliance has kept all of us in dark or in other words they have cheated us. If you are thinking that in future applications will be made available then you are wrong. GTran handset is no more being provided by Reliance. I today had a nice conversation with Reliance cc and have got a case registered that either all the applications of Rworld should be made available on GTran or my handset should be changed with some other model. I have case id with me. i will request all of you also to do same or we will remain Rworld sufferers. We are asking for services which users who have paid 1/4 of us what are getting more facilities. It’s not joke we have paid 12001/-. I have got fed of complaining to chairman office which is useless and just another name of *333. I am thinking of involving third party i.e. Press, Media and the best of all their Rivals . Can anyone provide me help to get third party help? Please provide relevant mode to contact them. ananthshenoy 0 Report post Posted September 16, 2004 Hi saurav Its really great that you are trying your best. Initially i was also really frustrated with the non availability of applications like icici bank and games on r-world. But after i complained to rcc they said that icici bank will be made available in a few days --------- i am still waiting. Anyways there are atleast ( just a wild guess) 20000-40000 (maybe more) subscribers of GTRAN and reliance cant afford to ignore this group. I dont think there can be any solutions to the distorted sms (one has to get adjusted to it i guess) but applications in r-world and mms hopefully will be made available. I really want to use icici bank services on r-world and will complain to the chairmans office in a few days. Meanwhile i had a few other complaints to the chairman which were resolved amicably. My bill after handset upgradation got deducted Rs 8651/ ----- an amount which i had already paid ----- it didnot get rectified even after 2 bills ---- so i complained to the chairmns office and in reply i got an assurance that everything will be sorted out (i just gave a jist of my bill problems i dont think anyone wants to hear the whole story). i guess reliancehas a way to trick honest subscribers and reward the defaulters. Saurav 22 Report post Posted September 17, 2004 I don’t think there are 20,000 – 40,000 GTran users. Only about10,000 GTran handsets have been sold till date. Secondly as you yourself have said Reliance does not care for honest customers. It is very well visible from the current strategy. They have made JOY 149 costlier than prepaid. Actually they want the low users customers to migrate to prepaid i.e. pay at least 325 per month. If you are thinking that problems are because this is a new handset then you r wrong. The handset was launched in December 2003 in selected cities and now to get rid of the stocks they have provided it through out country. SMS problem is not permanent it’s a software bug. Just word wrap function needs to be added to main program. You have to fight if you want solution. If you keep tolerating they will try to exploit u to their maximum. Don’t expect that Reliance will solve the problem itself. They don’t care for individual customer and we the customers lack unity. I have been complaining for last two months but have not seen any considerable response from CEO office. We all have to get together and complain and in case of no solution we should of course use media for help. Big companies like Reliance care for reputation. Their reputation is the last tool which can help us to get solution.
ananthshenoy 0 Report post Posted September 21, 2004 Hi Saurav first of all thanks for standing up to reliance !!!! they already have started makin changes now --- 1. they have removed the mms section in gtran ( mostly it is gettin upgraded) 2. they have started icici mobile banking services As for distorted sms problem ---- i just hope they rectify it when they get a software upgrade Regards Ananth

Saurav 22 Report post Posted September 27, 2004 Hv u stopped complaining to Chairman office? r u satisfied with facilities made available on GTran? Remember only repeated complaints can get us a solution. If u r thinking of exiting from GTran. It's not possible. and even in comoing days u will not be allowed to get ur money adjusted for other handsets. for new handset u will be required to pay the full amount. Saurav 22 Report post Posted November 19, 2004 (edited) hi,software update is availble. r u from mumbai ??? i have got new software update "unofficially" for my hanset. - nil NIL mentioned in this forum that software upgrade is available but he has deleted those posts. Software upgrade for GTran GCP-4020 is available. Only Reliance is not allowing GTran to give this upgrade. In the on going conflict b/w GTran and Reliance we customers are suffering. People in Mumbai or any others areas with nearby ASC can get it. In my view if we want to get software upgrade we have to again storm chairman’s office with complaint emails. Reliance is not purchasing more GTran handsets as well as data cards. So don’t expect an automatic solution. Edited November 19, 2004 by Saurav
