I am using Pentium D Processor 2.8 GHZ. Will it work with any Intel G Series Motherboard?

Yes my dear Saurav it will work with Intel Motherboards. But always remember that getting after sales service from Intel is not that easy.

Although the complaint ratio in Intel Motherboard is very less. But if unluckily if Intel Motherboard develop problem then it will take more then a fortnight to get it replaced / repaired by the service centre.

As Intel's service centre is in Chennai only. You have to call Intel Service Centre, then you have to send the Board to Intel through Courier and you will get it back only after 15 days approx through courier.

I'm using Intel Motherboard. Its Serial Port gone bad within 8 months of purchase. But due to poor procedure of after sales service, I avoided to send my board to the service centre. And still continued to use the faulty motherboard with faulty Serial Port.

Alternately you can try GIGABYTE Motherboards. They are reasonably priced and stuff is also good.

y dont u just buy a nettop insted of a new MB?, it will also reduce your power consumtion and space in working area.

For music and surfing a nettop/Netbook/All-in-One PC is sufficient.

Also I am not sure the processor model u have support DDR2 Ram, So check all the options before buying

I think u are getting overly confused... just go for Inter G31 for 3K.... or if u have the moolah, go for a new netbook as rakesh suggested - Acer Aspire One for 15K...

My dear Saurav, in GIGABYTE the S-Series Motherboards are the best. I had installed Gigabyte S-Series Motherboards in many computers. And in the last couple of years didn't received and complaints for GIGABYTE motherboards.
