today i got a new gsm sim.i wondered its series was with 095....

i think its new series for reliance..

Even my number starts with 959... and the connection is in Bangalore.

Hey can just try calling your mobile from Airtel Landline and tell me whether its working........

coz as soon as i dial 959 from my airtel LL, i get the message "Invalid Number" !

Rcom GSM new series are 95 and 96 apart from 90.

hey but 96 series is already been used by airtel in J&K, might be same as old 98 series which was used my many operators.

mobiles have 10 digit series beyond which they will be std series

We are gonna 11 digit mobile like china soon.

Its already proposed but yet to clear. sooner or later we have to go to 11 digits.

All Landline operators (Airtel, BSNL etc) have put an end to old '95' calling for intra circle calls. Hence the same has been allotted to Reliance GSM Services.

95 series is not allotted only to reliance but to many operators
