Arun 795 Report post Posted April 12, 2009 Now 3 month free is no more available what is the new scheme now? Was there a 3 month offer? The 2 months free offer was available for a very limited number of applicants who applied online before the launch. and secondly can the card be used on wifi? Yes wifi routers which supports EVDO cards are available, but it will be very costly.

HetalDP 947 Report post Posted April 14, 2009 Here Everybody is Talking about 3.1 Mbps Max Speed But that it the Max Speed under 1.25 Mhz Band in Single Tower So if reliance only have One Carrier of 1.25 Mhz and 3 Users under the same Tower/Carrier and All are Downloading the Content All User will get Speed of 3.1 / 3 mbps = 1058 kbps only. More the Active Downloading users under Same Carrier / Tower less the Share u get. But in Broadband the Speed of Modem is Dedicated from Exchange to our Modem and no Sharing (Yes Telecom Company might have Bottleneck in Core Bandwidth that may affect but its a rare case) So Guy Dont Compare DSL with HSD or what ever Wireless Technology u get. Wired Connection is Congestion Free at CPE Level. More Dependable and Predictable on Speed.
Arun 795 Report post Posted April 14, 2009 All User will get Speed of 3.1 / 3 mbps = 1058 kbps only. More the Active Downloading users under Same Carrier / Tower less the Share u get. I'm getting around 2500 kbps average download speed at optimal location, and around 2000 kbps average download speed inside room with Reliance Netconnect HSD, at peak times. At the Web World where I checked earlier, there were 6 or 7 connections being used at the same time.
HetalDP 947 Report post Posted April 14, 2009 Interleaved Coverage means there are always the Location which have Multiple Coverage of Different Carriers of Diffent Tower so even All Tower have only 1.25 Mhz Carriers the End user may get 2 or 3 Different Carrier and Select Best Carrier if there is a Congetion in same Location some user will be pushed to Different Tower and this all Happens in Seconds You even dont Notice. But Few things is Rock Solid Fact. 1.25 Mhz = 3.1 Shared to All user Under that Carrier Reliance, TATA, BSNL all got only Single Carrier of 1.25 to offer Mobility Data in EVDO (Confirmed by TRAI) (Confirmed by COAI Objection again Early Release of EVDO) For More Information read the Following Page (Last Para) http://www.airvana.com/technology/technology_evdo_rev_a.htm
cmahendra 9 Report post Posted April 22, 2009 (edited) 23-April-2009 Guess what? All the plans stated as UNLIMITED* now renamed as 10GB Plans. Finally reliance learned that word UNLIMITED cannot be used with thier limited plans. Anyways reliance sent wrong signals with its stupid advertising method. See above screenshot.. cmahendra 9 Report post Posted April 23, 2009 (edited) My dear firendz which is the best model Huwai or Zte ,I gonna buy please tell which model to buy....!!!! With no doubts, huawei modem is the winner. Its already discussed few pages back in same thread. I have seen demo of both. The speed is no issue for both models. Both are same. But huawei modem is bit lengthy but slim and sexily curved with offwhite color. But most useful feature is that, there is a SDcard slot in huawei modem, which can be used as PENDRIVE and guess what, the pendrive size depends on whatever size Memory card you put in it. You put 1gb or 32gb, its your wish. And its also confirmed that you can use pendrive and modem both at the same time. And ZTE is black but not good design, more looks like MATCHBOX. Get more details about huawei modem here at www.huawei.com Huawei is not available now....Only ZTE AC 8710 is available in all RW and RMS. Still search for Huawei as it is better.... Dear Amit Jain I am from Mumbai and its available in almost all the places here. Yes it was not available for first weeks when launched, but now they are. I myself saw it in Prabhadevi and Shivaji Park Reliance Express dealers. Please note always mention your City when you say its not available in your city. Your city inbormation shows --Not Selected-- in your profile. My choice is huawei modem Edited April 23, 2009 by cmahendra
cmahendra 9 Report post Posted April 23, 2009 good . this way those people wont be cheated who dont read * lines at bottom , written in short letters Yeah! But I feel bad for those people who have taken unlimited plan without knowing the 10gb limit. I am sure there are many of them who might have done this mistake. Afterall its my strong beliefe that, all these big companies cannot survive without cheating.
