Vishal Gupta 4 Report post Posted September 20, 2004 Hi chandramauli! I had LG-RD2030 (post-paid) some days ago. I wanted to surrender it back. I used my post-paid connection for 3 months approx. when i surrendered it. i didnt get my money back (3500 /- approx. for handset) i asked why???. they told me that there is a provision that if u return ur handset before 3 years u have to pay 40 /- per month for remaining time. but if u transfered it to someone then u can avoid from giving these extra charges. so i tranfered it to some one. So forget the amount u gave at the time of connection.
chandramauli 0 Report post Posted September 20, 2004 Hi Vishal, thnx for the reply.. but my question was like this : now you had ur lgrd2030 in a dapo offer in which u pay approx Rs 600/month. Now you want to surrender and your phone is surrendered.. now i buy the phone from reliance in say joy399 scheme.. now since its gonna be a 2nd hand handset, would i be Rs 100/month as installaments and if yes for how long would tht be ?? Vishal Gupta 4 Report post Posted September 20, 2004 I think u don't need to pay such installments cauz u r buying a second hand phone. and afterall u r giving benefit to Reliance by buying that used phone.

Chirag 5 Report post Posted September 20, 2004 If u r buying the connection from a customer himself, then u got to carry his burden! Meaning, keep payin his installments till tht 3 yr period. U can negotiate with the seller and get him to reduce the initial money that u pay to get his connection. Secondly if u r taking his handset and then changing the plan, then i dont think its advisable to use a old handset(with the installment burden) If u r buying a used handset from RIM then theres no question of paying installments.
