aeroamit 18 Report post Posted March 24, 2009 Hello Everyone I am looking for a handset to be used on reliance network.Usually ,while on roaming my official confrences runs around 1+ hours and I just need to receive calls from my base office. I have identified BB-8830 WE for the purpose. Need suggestios from you all on below questions in sorting out suitable phone from Sadikk.I have sent these to Sadikk's PM ,but I feel its better to put here as he is very busy and u all are also experts on the same. 1. Will I be able to activate any GSM connection in BB-8830 WE and use it simultaneously/seperately with my current RIM number? 2. Whether R-world is available /accessible in BB-8830 WE ? 3. Which is good option to select out of BB-8830 WE and PALM Treo 755 ? 4. After reading threads here it seems that internet in not supported on BB-8830 WE .Will it be possible to use use internet through R-world or R-connect. 5. Does BB and treo has a slot where we can insert CDMA sard provided by Reliance or any other operator. 6. In case of any problem can we take any of the sets to BB or Palm service centres for repair. 7. Is there any other handsets apart from these ones in the lesser price range for CDMA. I am in real need of handset as my present handset is having issue with headset mode and Normal mode. During calls any of the mode gets selected on its own and I don't find any good handset worth investing in stires outside .Its LG-5130.
