rahulbhansali 0 Report post Posted March 27, 2009 Hi friends!! Is there anything that can be done to beat FUP (fair usage policy), as me and my friends are heavy downloaders.. i mean i wanted to buy these EVDO cards (reliance net connect or photon wld do) but FUP has stopped me from buying it.. can there be any discount if i buy 5 - 6 cards... (by discount i mean discount in tariff plan?)
Arun 795 Report post Posted March 27, 2009 If the limit is set at their side, how can you circumvent it? Only demo data cards given to dealers will have truly unlimited usage. How about getting a dealership?
Sadikk 301 Report post Posted March 27, 2009 Now hunt some friend/relative who is dealer and not net savvy. snatch the demo card and run.......

Arun 795 Report post Posted March 27, 2009 The "without FUP" offer that Daga mentioned is for TATA Photon only, not for Reliance Netconnect broadband+
ACS 130 Report post Posted March 27, 2009 ^^^^ Pretty hilarious.. P K Daga would have started TATA Dealership long back as RComm Data Cards were problematic & inferior. Therefore, we have TATA photon still selling despite RComm coming with a more superior product.. correct? @ Rahul Bhansali, Give it a thought.. Photon give 400kbps dowload but only gives 30kbps upload i.e. no Voice/Video Con & slow mail/mmedia upload being Rev-O. Only available in 3 cities as of now.. ACS 130 Report post Posted March 27, 2009 typo from Daga... he intended to say "without FUP"! sorry for this typo error. Offtopic: I think by 'typo' Arun meant 'very typical' from Daga.. Or is it that typo means Typing error ?
diew980s 0 Report post Posted March 27, 2009 This is for reliance executives .. The fair usage policy you are saying..is not at all fair ! I could download around 8-9 GB pm from the old netconnect (144 kbps) , then wats the need of getting this new one..which is only giving 10 GB..speed matters when you get more data transfer .. with 3.1 mbps, user wants more data to download, video streaming etc , for him 10 gb is just a matter of 2-3 days.. I was very interested in taking this new product, but this 10 gb put me off... I would be interested if you increase it to atleast 50 GB You surely need to look forward to know the user's review Thanks

rahulbhansali 0 Report post Posted March 28, 2009 (edited) typo from Daga... he intended to say "without FUP"! sorry for this typo error. Offtopic: I think by 'typo' Arun meant 'very typical' from Daga.. Or is it that typo means Typing error ? "typo" means "typographical error" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Typo does it matter wat typo means? topic has started but not concluded with a solution for a truly UNLIMITED option.. as far as 144kbps connection is concerned iam a Airtel's MOBILE OFFICE user.. they charge me 199 p.m. for unlimited access (they dont have this scheme any more) but can any 1 tell me once airtel gets a 3G license wld they continue to provide me with the same data usage plan with a higher speed... i know this question is hypothetical but i hope any 1 of u might have the answer.. am saying this coz. even thou airtel for unlimited access of mobile office is now charging around 899 p.m they have not changed my tariff plan (for the data usage)... i thought i'd be getting a reply........ ACS 130 Report post Posted December 4, 2009 I heard BSNL doesn't have carpet coverage even in cities.. It was true when they initially launched.. what about now ? I thought maybe they have unlimited plan cause ppl cant use it everywhere & it was worked out due to their limited EVDO coverage.

me_saket 73 Report post Posted December 8, 2009 BSNL tariff revised to Rs.999 LINK
MOBILE FAN 42 Report post Posted December 8, 2009 Existing user can continue using it at Rs 650/month. Good thing is that Rs. 999 for new customers will deter the new customers to come to BSNL because for that kind of tariff Reliance is the best. So the existing customer will not have to share bandwidth will the new ones But the point is that at Rs. 999 it is truly unlimited - ie. without any FUP. Gauravsinghal 11 Report post Posted December 8, 2009 For truly unlimited access go for BSNL's EVDO. Rs.650/month. I am ready sell mine. What is the downloading speed you are getting with bsnl evdo?
MOBILE FAN 42 Report post Posted December 9, 2009 As discussed above, the tariff for new user is Rs. 999/month Downloading speed depends on which area you are. At my place I am getting the speed of arroudn 160/200 kbps. But in some part of pune it goes to 800 kbps to more than 1 mbps.
kishore100 0 Report post Posted January 7, 2010 dear speed in broad band plus is more than 20 times faster than high speed cards but as there is quantity based download restriction what is the use????????????????? further you can enjoy the lightening speed for the first week of the month only then you have to unplug the card from your pc and sit idle till you receive and pay the bill
