Mohan 0 Report post Posted March 30, 2009 (edited) Hai Friends pls guide and advice me for the below prob... My friend taken a post connection one yr back... and he paid every bill correctly and reliance treated him as a golden customer... But without any notice they changed his plan... so he stopped paying the last bill which is not in his plan.... so they send some notice to him... and some of the officials asked him to come local webworld for finalising the settlement regarding this prob... So me and my friend visited and we come to a settlement and paid the balance immediately... with the condition that the postpaid connection will terminate immediatly... They collected money and immediatly that official gave the copy of termination of that post paid connection... all above happened 3 months ago and my friend didnt used that sim from that date... but till that connection is not terminated and bill is generating...... now he got two more notice from reliance stated that they will take legal action if the balance is not paid... really he is so much depressed on seeing these notice.... so i suggested him for to take legal action against reliance.... but really we dnt know the procedures and all.... i heard last week on this forum that in delhi cosumer court ordered reliance to rs 10000 as compensation for not converting postpaid to prepaid.... but my friend's prob is more serious than that.... his father scold him lot for this legal notices from reliance.... he have all the proof with him safely.... so what shld we do..... kshah 452 Report post Posted March 31, 2009 Go to nearest consumer protection cell or ngo and file a suite. Since you have proof ask for heavy compensation. Court will pass peanuts for sure.
Sadikk 301 Report post Posted March 31, 2009 Just request reliance higher officials to waive off ur dues due to non usage. and get rid of these legal things. they have advocates ready to drag it for as long as 3 to 5 years. so its waste of time, energy and money. I know u might get some compensation from court, but court matters are really a pain. Consumer protection court and NGOs are good idea if u really want them to teach lesson. but its nothing about teaching lesson, they take it as part of the business and are fully ready for it. choice is urs...... supernova 47 Report post Posted March 31, 2009 i agree with sadik ..first instead of legal get in touch with higher reliance officials . even if lower court passses any compensation hey will take up at higher level. 1. you lodge a complaint at *222 . give a complaint regarding the concerned webworld official who had made settlement with you . and another separte complaint of non termination/billing dispute. 2. mail nodal and appelate with cc to as all known reliance email id , trai , dot etc , anil ambani etc mail them your complaint details , conplaint request no given by *222 , scan copy of form etc . 3. then call nodal /appelate that you have mailed them and this is the problem. 4. apart from this try to get in touch with some higher official of your area . may be rimwebiaans of that area might pm you the details of some senior officer

djain1989 16 Report post Posted March 31, 2009 ^^^ Lolz.. Being a telecom consultant you sorted out those things by uttering hindi slangs?
KumaarShah 143 Report post Posted March 31, 2009 ^^^ If it works, this is the best solution possible. This apart, I also agree with Sadikk - they will drag you on for years and at the end, they will escape with light fines, which they are ready to pay. You will be fleeced by the legal people of time, money, energy, peace of mind etc... Think hundred times before going to courts. All the best and do keep us informed here....
