Infocomm Launches Direct Debit Facility

Infocomm has added one more feather to its R World service cap by launching a secure online RIM bill payment facility in association with ICICI Bank. This will enable all ICICI customers who use to directly debit their accounts through Reliance IndiaMobile handsets and settle their bills. The encrypted service is highly secure and easy to use. The whole operation can be completed in less than a minute.

A subscriber can also view the summary of his/her bill through the bill payment service and can make payments, anywhere, anytime from his ICICI Bank A/C.

“This is one of the simplest and convenient ways of remotely paying bills. We had earlier launched this facility for Visa, Master and Diners credit card holders and with the introduction of this facility for ICICI Bank account holders, users now have the added convenience of making online payments from their bank accounts,” said Mahesh P r a s a d , P r e s i d e n t , Applications Solutions Group, Reliance Infocomm.

This facility is targeted at a broader segment of customers who have bank accounts with ICICI Bank, even if they do not hold or want to use credit cards. Over 2,00,000 registered customers are currently paying their bills online and with the introduction of this customer friendly direct debit facility more and more subscribers are expected to follow suit.
