pasumark 51 Report post Posted April 11, 2009 I am planning a vacation with my family in Swiss next month. I find the international roaming rates to be very very high. I am having a Reliance CDMA and Airtel connection ( Both are post paid) Please inform what the options are. For calling to India can I buy a sim there and use it? will it be cheaper? prabakar 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2009 To my experience by a prepaid card in the country and use. You need internet connection for Skype and VOIP , definetly the charges for net connection is higher.

ACS 130 Report post Posted April 12, 2009 (edited) Well Reliance Passport is really a very good option.. I have been suggesting a combination of Passport & World Calling Calling card for all my friends on this Forum. Take a temporary UK SIM when you go to Swiss.. (its possible to use a UK sim there) Mention this number in your vacation mail.. Incoming per min. for you - Free (Daily rental apply though) If possible re-charge a World Calling card with plan 2250 in a Rel mobile/LL back in India. (Good for US/Canada, Not really feasible to call UK Mobiles) http://www.rcom.co.in/webapp/Communication...m/Rm/rm_rwc.jsp You may use a similar combination like the above..
