^^^

For Chennai/TN,

1. RC61 gets you 750 local SMSs free every day for 30 days.

2. RC 32 gets you 500 local SMSs free valid for 30 days.

3. RC42 gets you 400 local and national SMS valid for 30 days.

None of the above are available in CDMA AFAIK.

This packs are expensive , In Punjab circle i got 1000sms@25 in My CDMA

Tata also gives out 1000@30

And HFCL (also a cdma player in Punjab) too gives out 1000sms @ 25

GSM sms packs are very high compared to cdma

RCOM is concentrating on GSM and neglecting CDMA. None of these offers are available in CDMA.

RCOM should provide the same tariffs/RCVs for both CDMA and GSM. That should be ideal. This is like having no care of Reliance's initial loyal customers!! I am disappointed this time with RCOM.

Just hang on, mate...

RCOM will definitely not let you go away... Even if they sell off their CDMA business, they will ensure that you will be migrated to GSM. They are waiting for MNP to kick in and most likely, they will exit CDMA maybe in a couple of years.. This is my opinion, others may differ....

^^ How can they Exit the CDMA business just like that? Don't forget USB/Data Cards(Both on CDMA) are very good revenue generating model. They won't let go of it.

I am not saying they will exit tomorrow, maybe 2 - 3 years down the line. And the data business also can come from 3G, am I right? And why I am saying all this is because they are starting to neglect nowadays the CDMA totally in favour of GSM

I had immense faith in RCOM until now. But now after the step motherly treatment towards CDMA, I am going to purchase a open handset and look at options like MTS and Tata Indicom as well. Definitely I will wait till MNP is implemented.

The problem is that after using the CDMA technology, I am not at all comfortable with GSM (especially the voice clarity)
