htc p 3000 problem

hi friends , i need your urgent help

i have a htc p3000 version windows 6.0 hand set , the problem is the windows is not working now on this cell but this phone is just working as a very normal basic phone , i synced my phone to the p.c and got only some contacts and approx a huge no i have lost them, i have a lot of important smses on this cell i cannot be away from them a lot of them mean a lot of memories to me , i have tried some backup softwares but most of them ask me a install a cab file too on pocket pc , but this is not possible as windows is gone weired and will not allow me to install any cab file setup,, is there a method where i sync this mobile to p.c and get all the smes to the p.c ,,

please help me out of this, i have lost a important no's but know i dont wana loose anything further, plz let me know hot to solve this

- First of all dont double post, my friend. Now search and install PPC PIMBackup (the best backup software I have seen) from the Sprint original rom topic (link given in my signature) on your P3000 and backup all data like your contacts, calendar, appointments, sms, emails etc. by it on your memory card. Also activesync to backup your data.

- If both of that is not possible, then activesync to Microsoft exchange server (link also given in my signature) and backup your contacts, at least, to your Gmail account.

- After ensuring proper backup has been taken, hard reset your phone by pressing both left and right soft keys and simultaneously pressing the stylus in the reset hole. Follow on screen instructions. Your phone will be restored to the factory default settings.

- Then restore your data by either of the methods to get back all your contacts and even sms's (if u used PIMBackup)

hi thanks a lot for the reply , but i would like u to know that i have tried to run the setup in my ppc thru my comp but didnt work, issue starts from a complex place like my ppc windows icon when i click on it, it does not even show me programs etc this functioning of the windows is totally gone,my ppc is covered under warranty but service center employees say that they will help me in getting my contact backup only to outlook.i in a desperate need to take backup of the sms too, if my ppc windows works then i would be in a position to see the programs and take a backup of the sms thru sprite as suggested by you but that too is not possible, do you have any idea where these sms'es get saved in ppc windows,at least i can try to copy the folder to comp by sync to windows xp later after when ppc windows is restored i can get it back to ppc, is it possible and does it work.i can also send a video clip of my ppc for u to understand it better,all i hope is if u can help me out for the sms i will be really happy and thankfull.

also i would like to install windows mobile 6.1 on p3000 (reliance) would this work

i have a very fair idea on these concepts as i have worked for a long time in apple mac company handling apac queries a lot so windows as on date is seriously confusing, need your guidance.

other informations :

1)my warranty of ppc is getting expired on 2/7/09

2)hard reset to ppc works but does not delete any data " which means this is also gone for toss"

3)memory card used to get read earlier now that too is out of question

i know mac is all time better in such situations but wondering about this windows that too in ppc, hope it gets resolved with your guidance.
