As a pioneer in Internet to mobile SMS segment, connecting inbox with mobile is yet another significant step that keeps way2sms ahead of its peers. Subscriber will become more informed no matter where he is. We have made sure that this feature can be easily activated as there is no installation required. Alerts can be received from multiple mail boxes if subscriber wishes." said VV Raju, Founder CEO, Way2SMS.com.

Subscriber receives alerts for only those emails, which he wants. One can customize his preferences incase if he would like to receive email notifications only from particular contacts during a particular time.

All one need to do is to link his Yahoo, Gmail and other email accounts with Way2SMS mail account. One can also choose or mark spam email IDs to avoid unwanted mail alerts.

What use is the above service with RCOM's handsets which offer only very limited SMS inbox capacity? And thik of the number of alerts one gets in a day? Will it not be irritating to get the alert and then delete it to receive the next alert?

It will be very useful for GSM handsetsand also Palms, BBs, Moguls etc.... which all have unlimited SMS inbox capacity.

But when one will have a mogul or palm, then why shall 1 opt for SMS alerts instead of directly checking it using mobile's browser? :)

i just tried the above service...

we need to create an free email in @way2sms.com domain, then forward all our emails from yahoo, gmail, rediff etc to this id. when a forwarded emails arrives way2sms.com inbox then they will send sms alert.. we can select the alerts for particular senders..

i dont feel comfortable in forwarding emails to a 3rd party site and then get sms alert..

My another post today 'RedChery email services' seems to be interesting, waiting for its launch..
