me_saket 73 Report post Posted June 29, 2009 (edited) We often see that the second version of any scheme is costlier than the initial one. This happened with Airtel's friendz card, mobile campus card,!dea's gang card,Vodafone campus card wherein the call rates were increased in the "New" version of these schemes. P. K. Daga 3 Report post Posted August 14, 2009 I think the inagural offer of Docomo is much better
me_saket 73 Report post Posted August 15, 2009 (edited) I think the inagural offer of Docomo is much better how? in my way if 1second billing is providing appox 15% less than normal charge. savings if calculation goes this way, then example 1 for say 300minute of local and 50 minutes of std 75local sms and 25national sms will be let's rock (considering 15%usage in off peak hours) for local 255*0.5+ 45*0.25= Rs138. std 50*1=50 sms 85*0.2= 17 +rent Rs30/month toal= 235.75 Docomo (considering 15% discount on calls and std 1p/1s and with free sms offer) local 300*0.6= 153 std 50*0.6=25.5 sms 75*.6+25*1.2=75 no saving coz daily usage of sms is less than 3. total= 253.5 Thus indicom wins Docomo (considering 15% discount on calls and std 2p/1s and with free sms offer) local 300*0.6= 153 std 50*1.2=51 sms 75*.6+25*1.2=75 no saving coz daily usage of sms is less than 3. total= 279 Example 2(std user) for say 100minute of local and 250 minutes of std 15local sms and 55national sms will be let's rock local 85*.5+15*.25=46.25 std 250*1 =250 sms 60*.2=11.9 rent 30 total=338.15 Docomo (considering 15% discount on calls and std 1p/1s and no free sms offer) local 100*0.6= 51 std 250*0.6=127 sms 15*.6+55*1.2=75 no saving coz daily usage of sms is less than 3. total= 253.5 here docomo wins Docomo (considering 15% discount on calls and std 2p/1s and no free sms offer) local 100*0.6= 51 std 250*1.2=255 sms 15*.6+55*1.2=75 no saving coz daily usage of sms is less than 3. total= 381. again indicom wins Verdict= if ur heavy std user(not more than 27000second per month=15minute of day) and docomo continues 1p/1s billing then DOCOMO is best. other wise LEt's rock is cheapest plan in india(both in term of prepaid and postpaid) for both high and low usage.
