aviator 3 Report post Posted July 6, 2009 Dear All, I am starting this topic because i simply love this forum and the fellas here who are ready to help no matter how novice you are............ "You can post in your 'Thank you' quotes for someone who has helped you sail through your problem!!" This tale started one month back when i got Palm treo 755P from Dr. Mufaddal. The handset had some programming issue as in J&K, TATA Prl is different from rest of India. That is when rimweb and the fellas came in!! Repeated calls to Dr. Mufaddal and the techie, Mr. Kalpak was a routine and i am overwhelmed by the way they responded. Not even a single call was left unanswered. I am really thankful to Mr. Kalpak who had guided me through the issue (Even had me ship my mobile to ahmedabad for programming and sent his serial cable along with my mobile back to jammu). He is a real Gem of a person............. Was thinking of a way to repay him back but can't find one!!! People like him make me believe in the long lost term "Humanity" Thanks a Ton guys....... In case any of you are visiting the state of Jammu and Kashmir, do lemme know @ 9205012719. I can help u a bit, if not a lot!!!
Mufaddal 678 Report post Posted July 6, 2009 as usual Kalpakji rules .... believe me if it wud have been someonelse he wud have deifinately charged for using serial cable btw for perople who dont know IN J&K TATA uses nam 1 prl and for rest of india tata uses nam9 prl aviators's problem was that he cudnt do ota thru *228 coz of prl issue so all settings ( home sid/nid , primary and secondary channels ) had to be loaded with QPST along with nam 1 prl . and connecting to qpst needs special hardware .... kshah 452 Report post Posted July 6, 2009 Thanks for appreciation. I am doing because it gives me happiness. I too learn something from this type of help and I have always taken such incidences as opportunity to learn. BTW what I did was changed SID / NID pairs and Primary and secondary channels. Unfortunately Palm Treo do not give access to these parameters. Its easy to change all these parameters in PPC.

kshah 452 Report post Posted July 10, 2009 I take opportunity with this little emotional thread to thank Arun and all other members who has been helping each other to keep this forum clean and green... There are occasional hiccups, but that's the part of any group discussion. I still wonder, how admin group is meeting expenses of keeping rimweb on. if they have enough incomes due to few ads of google then its fine. If they are spending any money from their pocket then its responsibility of all rimwebians who says they love this place to share burden equally atleast. I am sure that amount is going to be very small.
