How To Install And Use .net Compact Framework 3.5 Without Upgrading Your Rom.

Recommended Posts

Microsoft® .NET Compact Framework 2.0 is 37.6 MB win 6.1 mobiles have this by default.

Microsoft .NET Compact Framework 3.5 is 33.3 MB

WM 6.1 only comes with CF2.0 by default, let me offer u guys the cab files. m not sure whether these have been posted here before.

beauty of this cab is that u assign different frameworks to the different programs depending on what they work with. that means u can choose to use 2.0 for some applications and 3.5 for other

- Download and instal both CABs below (to internal memory!)

- go to '.Net Configuration' from Programs

- device policy > select 3.5

- 'application Policy' and select the programme

NETCFv35.wm.armv4i.cab on Rapidshare

netcfcfg.cab (saves yourself from editing registry) as attachment

and bingo.

am unable to attach NETCFv35.wm.armv4i.cab which is of 2.58mb. let me uplaod it in RS.

Used 31.27K of your 1.95MB global upload quota (Max. single file size: 1.95MB) :(

NETCFv35.wm.armv4i.cab: http://rapidshare.com/files/259519139/NETCFv35.wm.armv4i.cab.html

netcfcfg.cab

The .NET Compact Framework 3.5 provides new features such as Windows Communication Foundation, LINQ, SoundPlayer, new runtime tool support, and many other features.

many new applications are built using this platform. one of the latest & popular one namely the call recording tool for window mobiles is functional on 3.5 only.

I think this will work perfectly only on Phones with larger memory like Diamond/Pro. On Mogul, it will be a huge memory hog. Anyone tried this on Mogul?
