amit.shippie 135 Report post Posted August 12, 2009 @dkalie tata uses a lot of other nam parametrs like SSD and stuff which reliance doesnt use , as a result *228 is very imp in tata for ota nam thats y in all tata activation we prefer *228 over manual programming , thats y we never e** repair for tata surprisingly for asheet manual programming worked , for which even i was surprised . also one has to be careful while nam programming ,unlike other handsets , on bb a mistake cud damage ur spc what r the consequences of damaged spc? Mufaddal 678 Report post Posted August 13, 2009 Sir if tata has different NID & SID for different regions then i was just gueesing what NID & SID would be entered in the authorized tata BB8830. ? to people who are confused NID is the cdma parameter for country so tata or any other operator only uses one NID SID is region wise/operator parameter which differs so ur NID will be same in any region be it tata or reliance which is 65535 only SID are different

navnkd 2 Report post Posted January 31, 2010 Hi All, I m using my sprint BB 8830 with both Tata Indicom & Tata Docomo just by switching their network settings. Tata indicom is activated on hex and Dococmo on sim card. But i still not able to use data via indicom. With docomo its working fine with opera by using TATA.DOCOMO.INTERNET as APN in tcp settings with empty id & password....i think if we can try to change all settings in NAM prog according to any existing tata indicom 8830 might it start working with data or gps too...what u say Mr. Sadik
samirbhatia 0 Report post Posted April 5, 2010 I am using Verizon BB8830 with tata indicom cdma. My phone would only lock onto RIL cdma coz they are verizon's roaming partners and would not detect any other cdma network but it worked with all gsm cards. So I downloaded QPST software and installed tata .prl file on the phone with that software. Now its working perfectly well with tata cdma. Tata people told me specifically that they cannot get BB BIS services acivated on my pc as my ESN hex code was not on their authorised BB list but they did activate my phone for voice and sms. BB BIS services can only be activated on phones authorised by tata and not on imported ones. You can activate any GSM BB BIS service on the phone but no tata cdma. But you can still use the phone well. U need to get your ESN registered at tata data centre and then configure your phone with QPST and tata .prl file.
