Infocomm Launches Office Directory Service

RIM recently launched the much sought after Office Directory application in its R World suite. An Office Directory Application is a corporate phone book, with a few other improvements to enrich the user experience. The application is targeted at mobile executives of enterprises and provides anytime anywhere access to an organization's Telephone Book using . The key features of the application include facilities to search any employee detail, based on name, location, department and / or grade, on a real time basis. Users of the application can also directly send SMS or call the concerned employee, by selecting the specific employee details from the search results.

Benefits include improvement of Customer Service through 24x7 availability of Enterprise Office Directory, freedom from the limitation of Phone Book entries, reduction in hardware, software, maintenance and operational costs and enhanced security. The enterprise subscriber would be required to register for the Reliance Data service to use the service. This can be done by contacting the Reliance Corporate Wireless Team. An account manager will then guide the contact person at the enterprise with the details of the subscription process.
