ramtech 47 Report post Posted September 15, 2009 Spice D88n and D88gold support wap/opera mini on CDMA and also on GSM GPRS.I have used it. Ok. So D-6666 should also support tata indicom n/w on opera mini. @Genius, Can you please check to add tata indicom card in D-6666 and check if opera mini able to browse on tata n/w. (Do not insert any GSM card). This will be really helpful for me as well as other forum members interested in Spice D-6666. BTW the handset is still not available in Pune, MH. Does anybody know about its availability in Pune? Brother I was just clarifying that in dual sim WAP can be used on CDMA 1x. Unfortunately in spice D 6666.WAP can be used on GSM GPRS only, not on CDMA 1x. In D88n and D88Gold , Wap can be used using both CDMA 1x and GSM GPRS. This is FYI

What is battery capacity and performance with 2 sims active at a time? 5. does the 2 MP camera has digital zoom? 6. Is it worth buying the handset? 7. How is FM recording functioning? 8. What is the performance of mobile with fully loaded 4 GB card? 9. How much is the internal memory of handset? 10. Did u tried to add some java apps/games to your handset? 11. The dealers are quoting price as 8K, how did u managed to get it in 7K ? Your answers will help me a lot. -Tejkumar

Can any one help Me out please. Is there any particular format or somehting like that Hi, I also faced same problem for contact backup from Nokia 6275 to Spice D6666. Well Nokia CSV file format can not be imported directly as the format is different. What I did is: 1. Open Contacts in Nokia PC Suit, then select all contacts and File-Send-All contacts in email.. 2. This will open an email editor with all contacts attached as VCFs. Now go to preview mode of email and say View Attachments 3. Save all the VCFs to your machine. 4. Now open All the VCFs in some advanced text editor like Notepad++. 5. Replace All occurances of VERSION:3.0 to VERSION:2.1. from all VCF files 5. Also Replace All ;;;; from all VCFs with empty space. 6. Now all your VCFs are ready to be imported in Spice D6666. 7. Create a folder "SpiceAddrBackup" on memory card and add "VCF" folder inside it. 8. Copy all your VCFs to the above created folder. 9. Now launch Contacts backup application and choose Import, VCF, From memory card. 10. Say OK and all your contacts will be imported. For experiment purpose you can do this for 2-3 contacts first and then go for all contacts. Well it took 2 days for me to find this method. I hope you can do it quickly.. Note that if you have multiple numbers under a single name then you need to be cautious .. You should have only single entry of one TEL;CELL: one TEL;HOME: and one TEL;WORK: in a vcf file. If you have multiple numbers then keep one under each of these three. But not all under TE;CELL: or only a single number will be imported.

pavneet 0 Report post Posted October 17, 2009 Are you able to establish a net connect (using reliance CDMA connection) via cable or bluetooth? I think its not supported by the handset Manager software provided by Spice. I am a Nokia 2865 user and can establish the same with Bluetooth software (Bluesolil)by using DUN service and dialling #777.
Pravin Birje 0 Report post Posted November 30, 2009 Hello ALL, 2 days back I bought this phone (Spice D-6666) @ 8K from Pune (Telephone Shoppee)... When the sales person told me about the features I was very happy to got a deal with a so much cheap price !! :-\ While exploring the features my happiness remains same (rather increased) as i was initially using LG RD 6130 from almost 5yrs now !! This phone has some unique features like PRIVATE MENU,which allows to LOCK the SMS,MMS,Phonebook and many more features with a code... The camera quality is gud including the night mode.. it has a LED flash which is bright enough to use as a torch @ night.. The music produces decent qulity output.. but could have bit loud.. same happens with FM.. it does not supports custom themes, which was a BIG disappoint for me :-(.. Spice has some COOL features which works with MASTER GSM SIM only.. (GPRS).. anyways i being a reliance CDMA user.. not bothered about it.. The PC sync software is provided in the 1GB card which come FREE along with the BOX.. Finally after ALL SUCH GOOD GOOD thing.. here is the JOR KA ZATKA... The battery life is below PAR.. if you start using the FM and with some heavy calling/receiving the phone DIES in 4hrs... So my final word.. if you are not going to use the features heavily with out a supply point.. this 1 is a MUST buy !! Note: The above battery performance is with only 1 SIM included.. GOD knows what will happen if i thought of 1 more GSM connection :-O... Pravin
