cooldude9848 10 Report post Posted March 8, 2011 Hi, I found a simple method for changing carier name(from sprint or verizon wireless to anything you wish). open the attached file with wordpad and change 'carrier text here' to 'Reliance' or what ever you want.Totally you need to change it at two places in the entire text. thats it.Dont change anything else. Extract it. Install it with preware.(it downloads GNU and lsdiff patches itself) done. change-carrier-string-and-color.rar

Yes..it works on pixi too...and can be installed with webos QI.. Does not work in Pixi plus I installed thru Webos Quick Installer. It installs fine but does not change the Verizon Wireless banner. Also is there any way of disabling the Reliance network notification popups which keep coming?

Also is there any way of disabling the Reliance network notification popups which keep coming? Found a great solution for Pixi users (if they r ok not to have the carrier name on top left corner). It needs access to Preware. Search & install any of the versions of patch called 'Date As Carrier'. Do a restart. Now you will find the current date at the top left corner. Looks nice ! Date followed by time in the center of the bar...
