Mahidhar 3 Report post Posted October 16, 2004 i've noticed the same thing happening on my mom's phone ! it displays Chennai and the light glows for about 5 seconds !!! guess its just a bug they havent really bothered to get fixed ... what else could it be ?! anoopr 0 Report post Posted October 16, 2004 Yes. It always seem to display the base station (or whatever it is). It comes on whenever it is switched on or when you receive or make a call. While on a call, you can (actually, you need to) press the Exit to move to "in-call" options (like mute). And the lights come on everytime the base station changes. On a recent trip on rail from Trivandrum to Hyderabad, it changed everytime the base station changed and along came the lights. Nothing wrong with that - except that unless you switch off your mobile at night, there won't be any charge left after around 24 hrs. By the way, on rail, if you are at a major station, you can know the station name even if you are on the upper berth sleeper! Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
