abhisathe 8 Report post Posted January 2, 2011 Why don't I see more members speaking on the MTS voice services? Pls share your advice on MTS voice services. After going through the postpaid plans announced by MTS, it appears that they are very competitive in home circle, but the tariff in roaming is no where competitive to Reliance. Their add ons are also neither attractive nor simple as Reliance. Equally strange is their condition of security deposit of Rs 500. I mean the amount is not big, but which postpaid voice service provider asks for a deposit (except ISD)? Some where in earlier posts by members, I read that MTS may take over Tata Indicom if its expansion plans currently on, are to be observed. How far is this rumour true? Roaming charges of MTS Postpaid: On MTS network Incoming call 50p/min O/G to visiting circle 50p/min O/G to outside visiting circle 50p/min O/G SMS (loc/nat/int) Rs. 1.5/1.5/5 On Others Network (Base rate) Incoming call 100p/min O/G to visiting circle 100p/min O/G to outside visiting circle 150p/min O/G SMS (loc/nat/int) Rs. 1.5/1.5/5 # Applicable in all plans except Advance Rental Plan where irrespective roaming network base rate will be applied. Karthik R 246 Report post Posted January 13, 2011 MTS has been allocated spectrum to provide mobile telephony services in all the 22 circles across the country. Also huge amounts are pouring in to expand its operations. So we can expect them to be a pan India operator in the near future
