Formatting Nokia 2880

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Becareful when you press *#7370# and then Press OK

Where you will be asked to enter your Security Code which is usually, 12345 - Your Phone May never work Again!!

All the Settings will be restored As Factory Settings, where even Reliance Settings will be deleted forever!!

This Includes

Your Phone Book

Your Settings

Reliance's Settings

Network Settings

Reliance's Logos

Your phone will virtually be a box, ONLY the Reliance Office May Re-fix it!

*#7370# will reset all the factory settings including non user changeable things like SPC and bring them down to their defaults. Sets the SPC to its default that is 000000. You will not be able to resume network service after this, as the phone is now service provider independent!!

SPC code is the only restriction on Nokia2280, which as I said is reset by 7370. If we can somehow make the 2280 home in back to reliance after 7370 then it would be 2280 with neutral SPC. Zero restrictions.

It will reset everything to the factory defaults..

Its true that u have to visit the service center for a treatment after u do the reset ;) but to their foolishness if they say ur handset has some thing wrong inside, then u get trapped with payments

Well, yes that is the master re set code. He he, i remeber that one, used to give to annoying people. :D

Well, its just that the PRL gets deleted. You have to upload it. For that you need to access the file system of Nokia.

Its not an easy task. Nokia is a hard shell to crack.

By doing -#7370# u will convert a provisioned handset to an unprovisoned. We dont want that, do we?

Goto Nokia ASC, get it uploaded

If under warranty, you dont have to pay anything

else will be charged around 100-250Rs

if we do this, then technically we have an unprovisioned handset.

Now, is it possible for this set to use tata or other provider's network ?

have to use diego and phoenix

Its not non provisioned hand set as ESN is still registered with RIM. But can be used with others if they allow.
