rahulmalik_81 1 Report post Posted October 20, 2004 Reliance Infocomm bags global CDMA Award CDMA Development Group recognizes company's International Leadership DAKC (Dhirubhai Ambani Knowledge City), Navi Mumbai, October 19, 2004 India's largest mobile services provider Reliance Infocomm has won yet another prestigious global honour - the 3G CDMA Industry Achievement Award for International Leadership. The award, instituted by the CDMA Development Group, has been presented to Reliance Infocomm "for emerging as the largest wireless operator in India since deploying CDMA2000 in March 2003, with more than eight million customers." Perry LaForge, Executive Director of the CDG, presented the award to Bharat Bhushan Anand, President - Regulatory Affairs, Reliance Infocomm, at the recently concluded CDMA Congress at the Miami Beach Convention Centre. Coming as it does, the CDMA global award is in a series of honours bestowed on Reliance Infocomm: * Company Chairman Mukesh Ambani has been voted as the "Most influential person in telecommunications in 2004" by London-based Total Telecom as part of its World Communication Awards. * Ambani has also been honoured with the prestigious Voice & Data 'Telecom Man of The Year' Award - 2004, * Earlier, NASSCOM has conferred the IT Excellence Award for 2004 on Reliance Industries. Reliance Infocomm Ltd., a Reliance group company, is India's largest mobile service provider with over 9 million customers.
