me_saket 73 Report post Posted December 5, 2009 (edited) source-mobiletor source-cellpassion http://www.unwiredview.com/2009/12/04/cdma-samsung-corby-s3650-coming-to-india/ Samsung CDMA Corby handset apparently releasing in India Posted on December 5th, 2009 Following the announcement of the GSM Samsung Corby S3650 in India, the CDMA version of the same handset is expected to roll out on the Indian shores, reports Cell Passion. The handset may be available in the Open Handset Model and could function across all CDMA carriers in India. This CDMA device will seemingly join chief carriers such as Reliance and Tata, who use CDMA networks. Reportedly, this new Samsung Corby could be seen as one of the few touchscreen phones in India having CDMA. The device is also claimed to be one of the first CDMA touchscreen phones to offer access to social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and more. When it comes to features, the device will carry the same attributes as the GSM model. For the uninformed, the handset comes with a 2.8 inch QVGA display, a 2.0 MP camera and a TouchWiz user interface. Samsung Corby also boasts of a TML browser, Stereo FM radio with RDS and Bluetooth. The device also includes a MicroSD card support. This colorful device is claimed to be quite popular with youngsters and has apparently already sold over 3 million units, since its launch. Reportedly, the estimated price of CDMA Samsung Corby S3650 could be around Rs. 10,000. Edited December 6, 2009 by saket_kewate

me_saket 73 Report post Posted December 11, 2009 initial price of gsm cory was 7400, so Around 2500 goes for royalty+CDMA congiguration+sale difference(between qty sold in gsm and cdma)
ramtech 47 Report post Posted December 11, 2009 Hi friends can some one clarify 1.Is Royalty paid per handset ? if so then the difference of 2.5k should be same for all the models irrespective of the features. 2.Or Royalty is paid depending on the handset model and features ? 3.Or it is paid per model irrespective of the quantity manufactured ? one observation Entry level CDMA handsets are cheaper than GSM handsets but higher end CDMA sets are costlier than GSM sets of similar features by 30% to 70%
