Today i have upgraded my old corby speed with new firmware.

Mobile TV icon is coming under it. but when i try to see any chennl it's gives error "Registration failed" when contacted TATA indicom, they are saying it's same as PHOTON TV, so currently PHOTON prepaid customer are not allowed to see or subsciber to photonTV, so u can't used MOBILETV in ur corby speed.

Plz let me know how to activate THIS TV application.

Also let us know model number of METRO TV

any other change besides the TV thing ? I mean did they solve any other problems ( like fm recording option) in this firmware upgrade ?? or just added "Mobile TV" ??

I have purchased by Speed. Has anybody tried net-connect on Corby from a Linux Laptop? I am using Ubuntu 9.10.

My EVDO is activated already. But still I am not able to browse through the phone on EVDO speed. Is it problem of Reliance or Handset? I have done all things like told by cc about ceating a browser profile with my cell number. But still it does not work.

i was succesfully abe to connect and use, with therotical speed of 2.4mbps.

Tell me wat error is coming?

One basic and very important difference between MTNL/BSNL 3G TV and EVDO TV >

In MTNL/BSNL 3g TV, they use a separate APN for mobile TV and data usage is NOT CHARGEABLE separately other than monthly subscription for channels

In EVDO TV data usage for live streaming would be CHARGEABLE separately.

The basic FM recording problem is that....... there is no option to record FM .

I think people at samsung also saw that and now there is no mention of FM recording on their official Corby Speed web page..

I keep getting network access error on gmap any idea on how to configure network access. Firefox says network access disabled check security settings. Any idea on how to resolve the errors.

There is no specific error. But why my connection is not getting on EVDO for mobile internet as well as through PC also?

yaar bro.. in my cell only 1x network shows in my city.. but when i move in other cities both 1x and EVDO networks appears.. so does that mean that there is no EVDO in my city ? and i cant use internet on mobile without EVDO ? or i can use data services in 1x also ? and what u meant when u said, "activate EVDO" ??

by the way, m still searching for an OMH sim..

Did u get error "plz upgrade ur RUIM card"? then ur sim is not OMH,

regarding EVDO, corby is having preset for EVDO coerage, if ur getting EVDO signal, then u can use internet in EVDO,

But it require username and password

I have made an setting in browser where I have put my cell number as username and password. I think that was enough. Can you clarify whether any other password is to be put.

any one know about the exchange active sync configuration in corby speed.

I have configured.

Server URL: owa.company.com

Username: YourUserName

Password: YourPassword

Domain: YourDomainName

Use SSL: On

when i save, its tryig for sync and pops an error "network timeout error"

and using evdo now

getting 1.8mbps speed

the new firmware for corby speed has three things

1) mobitv

2) you tube widget

3) exchange active sync

Just one more question. Can you use Samsung PC Studio on Ubuntu? With Wine?
