KanagaDeepan 1,084 Report post Posted December 20, 2009 Hope the Local minutes are for offnet and LANDLINES also... How much days the FREE value valid??? Valid upto complete usage irrespective of time will be sooo good... For the huge amount Rs999 (and 5000 local minutes) a validity of a month or three will not be enough imho.... Himanshu Singh 19 Report post Posted December 21, 2009 Local calls to mobiles as well as landlines. Validity is 30 days for each.
amitnsonu 72 Report post Posted December 21, 2009 Is aircel trying to make fool of consumers ? But today consumers are wise enough. who want to spend 499/999 to get just 49/99 std calls ??? I remember there was a e-recharge of 388 in rcdma 3-4 months ago (not sure of now). it had inbuilt tariff of 50 paise local and 1 rupee STD and full talktime with one month tariff validity. MUCH MUCH BETTER THAN FOOLISH AIRCEL RECHARGES. And even now in rcon postpaid we are having 399 simple plan which costs to us 440 including taxes and gives 798 calls (local &std) and if we use 75 local pack it will become more beneficial. Wake up AIRCEL !!!!!
Himanshu Singh 19 Report post Posted December 22, 2009 (edited) @Amit, With the postpaid plan for Rcomm you are talking about, for 1500 local calls you would pay Rs.750 and for 49 std calls you would pay Rs.24.5 which totals upto Rs.774.5 which after taxes would be Rs.854 and which is Rs.355 more than Aircel for the same calls. And if you need 5000 local calls(God forbid) and 99 std mins, your bill would run into a few thoudands. Finally prepaid and postpaid should never be compared for variety of reasons. KanagaDeepan 1,084 Report post Posted December 22, 2009 Offer will be good only if the validity of pack is increased to 180 days or atleast 90 days...

You have forgotten that the monthly rental one pays becomes zero because one can use the full 399 for all calls - local and std. So, the customer actually saves Rs 45 by being with RCOM...Further if you add the 75 pack, then you get more bang for your buck. Plus one gets 798 local and national SMS free in this SIMPLE399 FV plan. And plus the roaming benefits that only RCOM can offer... And Aircel network in the new circles may not be upto the mark as yet. No comments on your experience in Delhi/NCR with RCOM (in other topic)... Anyway, your point is also very valid that we should not compare post and pre..... And the Aircel Plan 999 is good if people want to use it only for all local calls (it works out to 20ps per minute)... And I agree with kanagadeepan that the validity should be more than 30 days...
