aviator 3 Report post Posted December 27, 2009 (edited) Dear all, I am a high user of e-bay. The issue arised a month ago. I bidded for some items but couldn't pay for 3 of them due to money crunch. Ebay suspended my account and i tried opening a new account after that. I used my lapi (same I.P) for opening both the new accounts. I used my sister name for 1 account and my name again for the other accounts. (I changed mobile no. and e-mail id too!!) Now, both the accounts are suspended as they were found linked to my old account. Can anyone suggest a way so that i can open a new account??? Has any1 faced similar issues??? I cannot change my address as it is the only address i have. While i am thinking of getting a virtual credit card and use it on e-bay instead of my regular card. Will it help???? Kindly help. Regards, Karun Edited December 27, 2009 by aviator
Arun 795 Report post Posted December 27, 2009 You will have to take care of the following: 1) The new account should not have the same address even if you are registering with a different name (ofcourse you should use a different name). eBay's suspension rules says that you cannot register an account under another family member's name when your account is suspended. You can use your neighbour's address, just make sure only the locality is the same. 2) Use a different mobile/phone number. 2) Make sure that your PC IP address is not static. 2) Do not use the same browser to register the new account. Either clear cookies or use a different browser as a dedicated one to use the new account.

He simply means to use another browser for that account.
kshah 452 Report post Posted September 28, 2011 Today my account on ebay got suspended. In past my account was suspended without assigning reason. Later I registered new account using MyUS address. I made few successful purchases and couple of sales. However for no apparent reasons it is blocked today.
city02 63 Report post Posted September 29, 2011 my account was also suspended without any reason other than 'security' i had never bought anything on ebay till then just had listings for sale which were deleted automatically so it was not a big deal to stop using ebay but there is no recourse with the company once they think you are guilty of any violation! kshah 452 Report post Posted September 29, 2011 Removing non payer is a good idea but what about paying members? :-D
csmart 472 Report post Posted September 29, 2011 even if you open new account, they may be able to link it to the old account. ebay/Paypal also falls under KYC norms issued by RBI. once you open an account, they will ask for PAN and other details. I had to submit these details in order to bid/buy on ebay. probably, your sister account may work, if you registered it for the first time.
Rahul Always 87 Report post Posted September 29, 2011 Ebay has been plagued by non serious bidders who simply spoil an auction by bidding and then refusing to pay for the item once they have won it. The worst part of the entire issue has been the non-communication. Am sure any seller would not mind waiting for some time for a serious buyer to pay for an item, if at all, he is facing a cash crunch. However, in the absence of such issues, sellers are forced to open cases against such bidders and ebay has no option but to bar them from further activity on the site. It is just a means of ensuring that an online site continues to remain clean and helpful for people who want to genuinely sell items.

I had to submit these details in order to bid/buy on ebay. As per RBI KYC norms details like Bank Account, Purpose Code and PAN Number is required only if you have any incoming credit balances in your paypal account and want to withdraw the same to your Indian Bank Account. You can bid / buy even internationally and pay for it without entering the above details in your paypal account once you verify the Credit Card by allowing Paypal a small charge on it. santanu@impaq 16 Report post Posted September 29, 2011 I am using Paypal to pay till date without providing Bank Account, Purpose Code and PAN Number. These are required for input credits only as clearly described by Rajan ji If anyone find that account is suspended without reason, then you can easily contact customer resolution centre. I have been using my acc since last 7 years without problem. I had complyed with their KYC norms whenever asked for. During last 7 years I have sent them my details 3 times, whenever they asked.
