Idea customers can now enjoy UNLIMITED Local or National SMS to any network across India with a recharge of just Rs.34, which is now available across Assam. With this new SMS pack Idea GSM prepaid mobile customer gets credits of 500 FREE SMS every day till 30 days. This recharge is intended for consumer use and NOT commercial use hence there is a fair usage policy of 500 SMS per day. The Idea SMS recharge of Rs.34 comes with a validity of 30 days. The operator also announced one more SMS pack of Rs.16 with the validity of 15 days which offers 200 Local and National SMS. Nobody can beat this offer, just 20k or 30k FREE SMS is not great comparing these.. And NO SMS BLACK OUT DAYS for RCom... After recharging with Rs25 pack, an RCom user can send 15000 SMS while roaming... Guess what will be the bill if an IDEA user from ASSAM goes for roaming and send 15000 SMS... I think Idea will charge Rs22500/- (if SMS roaming is Rs1.50, for new roaming plans with 1.5p/sec roaming) or Rs51,000/- (if SMS roaming is Rs3.40 for old roaming plans Rs1/1/1.50).. Himanshu Singh 19 Report post Posted January 13, 2010 There is no doubt that sms packs from Reliance are the cheapest. But I have stopped using RCDMA/RGSM for smsing. Reason is obvious.Delayed delivery of texts, sms sending failed and other issues. I have been facing this issue ever since these cheap packs were launched. So I am currently using 1.MTS cdma for 100 local/national sms/day for Re.1/day.(I dont even use 100, so how would I use 500 or more). 2.Aircel gsm for 1000 local/national sms@Rs.49/30days.
