This is yet another first in the Gujarat telephony market where postpaidcustomers will get free calling within the family and friends group and prepaid customers will avail the lowest tariff of 1 paisa/ 2 seconds and 10 paisa per minute. Thus consumers can make calls without worrying about time and distance. IDEA Cellular has introduced Postpaid plan with free CUG feature (intra-group) and other calls at 1 paisa/second or 50 paisa/min tariffs. With a rental of Rs. 249,customers can enjoy unlimited inter calling within a group with 24,000 local seconds or 400 local minutes and 150 local SMS free. All local and STD calls outside the group can be made at 1paisa per second or 50 paisaper minute depending on the plan. Group size can be anywhere between 3 – 10 members. Offering a great indoor and outdoor GSM network and value for money tariffs have always been IDEA’s strong proposition and the launch of new plans are a testimony to this fact. In a similar initiative, IDEA has launched 1 paisa per 2 seconds and 10 paisa per minute plan for prepaid customers. Customers availing this plan will get to make all Idea Local calls at the lowest tariff of 1 paisa per 2 seconds or 10 paisa per minute. To avail the offer of idea local calls at 1 paisa per 2 seconds tariff plan, IDEA prepaid subscribers can purchase a special voucher priced at Rs.47 where as to avail the offer of idea local calls at 10 paisaper minute IDEA prepaid subscriber need to purchase special voucher priced at Rs. 123. Both the tariff voucher will be valid for a period of 1 Month. Announcing the plans, Mr. Arul Bright, Chief Operating Officer – Gujarat, IDEA Cellular said, “ Our consumer usage analysis has thrown up very interesting results that truly highlight what customers in Gujarat prefers while choosing a plan. These plans will help family members and close friends to stay connected with each other without worrying about cost. Idea has been fulfilling a consumer’s social and entertainment needs, from communicating with others, to downloading music, images and games. raccoon 53 Report post Posted January 19, 2010 The STVs are pricy... esp. the one for Rs. 123. I have been using 10p Idea - Idea since more than 2 years now. But only between 3-5 pm and 10-8 am @ daily deduction of 50p. Thats same as Airtel Friendz... except that Airtel has now started deducting Re. 1 per day.
