Help: Htc Hero Messages Issue

but if u can make calls/recieve calls

send sms , i dont think its related to programming

anyways u can check ur sid/nid

search on forum u will get tata sid/nid pairs

also check primary secondary channels

but since its programmed by sadik who is selling hero everyday i dont think there would be error in this

its handset problem

ur modem is bad , this is evident that ur callers get switch off tone

Is it a hardware issue or can it be resolved? And moreover as I have already specified there is only 1 SID/NID entered in the phone.

where as in Tata Indicom Settings there are around 8 different SID/NID which I can see in my Diamond.

How to enter more of them?

just use qpst build 323

its been posted how to connect hero to qpst

in hero thread

read it and do it

and then update us

copy sid/nid fron ur diamond as is in hero

Just connected the phone to QPST and found out that all SID/NID are perfect.. Its just that phone shows just first one in ##786#

hmm , as i said before also i dont think its related to tata programming

also u can do one thing

ask some other user of tata who has hero

ask him his settings in qpst

i think its issue with ur baseband

either do ##786# reset or else talk to sadik

Yes Will Do so.

I am sorry I am consuming a lot of time of you all but I am helpless as of now.

If it would have been WM OS I could have done it easily.

Try backing up your contacts - and formatting the phone.. Without signing into google services / restoring via HTC sync ... try to receive a few texts (before contact DB is updated) and then see if it helps. It could be an error with contact names having non-supported ascii chars in it.

Just a passing thought

Sir I just tried what you said but still there is nothing new happening.. same force close. Just realized that even the network signal goes with a cross mark and comes and then goes again and then come. Wonder Why am I always stuck with these stupid things.

I think its somehow related to A-Key issue..

Try ##786# and let me know.. will see what can be done.. one of my friends and one more customer who using it on tata does not have any issue..

they both in mumbai though..

Sadikk Bhai I can do the reset but I don't know the further programming.

Could you please spend some time and either write it here or mail me the same.

Well it shud not reset ur MEID.. just note down ur MIN before doing anything.. in case it reset MEID.. let me know..

u will need Teamviewer.com ill do it online for ya..

##786# reset will 100% reset your meid... tried and tested... qpst may also stop working for some programming parameters after doing this reset...

i have done it twice now

it will restore original meid and leave new pesn

causing radio in bad state

also after this u wont be able to write am/an in ppp in qpst ( though it doesnt matter at all , cdma workshop is always there)

How to enter more of them?

In tata its very important to enter all provisioning data. What you can do is make QPST file with all provisioning data - open QPST - select off line and select right phone / device) enter all privisionind data include PRL. SAve . Then connect phone - once connected to QPST, select QCN file made and write. If you get PRL write error, dont worry, you can always use CDMA workshop 2.7 to write PRL. Also choose right PRL in tata. Tata AFAIK, uses various PRL depending on region and in you do not have right PRL then roaming causes problem.

##786# reset will 100% reset your meid... tried and tested... qpst may also stop working for some programming parameters after doing this reset...

Sir. Done the Reset Part and the results are:

1. MEID (Hex) which was before 00000000000000 has been changed to A100000*******

2. ESN (Hex) has remained the SAME.

3. MEID (Hex) has same last 8 digits that are in ESN Hex.

4. Phone is showing cross on network status.

5 SPC has been changed. Was set to zeros before but is now something else. i.e. ##DATA# can be viewed but cant be edited.

Thats the result I have got as of now.. If you need any more details please tell me.
