Reliance Infocomm Sparks up Diwali with 'Cracker' Recharge Card Reliance-to-Reliance Anywhere @ Just Re 1; All Other Calls @ Rs 2

Reliance India Card wipes out distances and peak hour concepts

Available for both Prepaid & Postpaid; Full talk-time, Zero admin fee

Families, Small Entrepreneurs & Traders to largely benefit

Talk to your heart?s content at any time, anywhere and for any duration

DAKC (Dhirubhai Ambani Knowledge City), Navi Mumbai, November 10, 2004

Wiping out distances and peak-hour concepts, Reliance Infocomm has introduced a cracker of an offer by launching Reliance India Card that facilitates calls from RIM or Reliance Fixed Wireless Phone to any Reliance phone anywhere and at any time across the country at just Re one-a-minute, and all other calls, including NLD, at only Rs 2 a minute.

Coming close on the heels of the recently launched revolutionary RCV of Rs440 that facilitates unlimited local calls from RIM-to-RIM, the Reliance India Card is available for both prepaid and post-paid subscribers. The Card comes in two denominations of Rs 110 and Rs 220, with full talk-time value, less service charges, and zero administrative fee.

"This Diwali gift to our subscribers marks yet another paradigm shift for the industry. Now, our subscribers can happily convey Diwali greetings and a lot more on their Reliance phones without having to worry about STD tariff and complicated tariff structures. Henceforth, for millions of subscribers of India's largest mobile services provider, distances do not matter," said S P Shukla, President - Wireless Products and Services, Reliance Infocomm.

"This means that from Kanyakumari to Amritsar, and from Porbunder to Kolkata, Reliance India Card facilitates calls at just one-rupee-a-minute for calls among Reliance phones, and at only two-rupees-a-minute from Reliance to any other GSM or landline service provider," he explained.

The new Card is the result of the feedback received from a large segment of users like small entrepreneurs, traders and individual seeking a facility to continue to make calls at affordable rates, while keeping their RIMs recharged with low denomination RCVs.

The Reliance India Card Highlights

MRP (Inclusive of all taxes) Rs 110.00    Rs. 220.00

Included Talk Time value    Rs 99.80  Rs. 199.60

Service Tax                          Rs 10.20  Rs. 20.40

Admin Fee                                  Nil      Nil

Talk time Validity                    15 days  15 days  (From the date of recharge)

Grace period                          15 days  15 days

Billing pulse                            60 secs  60 secs

The Reliance India Card ends all confusion over the multitude of tariff structures, peak-time, off-peak-time rates and calls made to different circles. The new card comes with just two simple, transparent tariffs. The tariff of Re one also covers calls from RIM or Reliance FWP anywhere in the country.

For prepaid, the Card can be combined with any of the existing Recharge Vouchers to charge additional talk-time value to the account. Similarly, Post-paid RIM subscribers as well as Fixed Wireless Phone and Fixed Wireless Terminal subscribers can get additional call benefits with this Card.

For instance, those enjoying the unlimited free local call facility from RIM-to-RIM with an RCV of Rs440 can now charge their phones with Reliance India Card and make calls anywhere in India at these fantastic rates. Similarly, subscribers with budget RCVs of Rs 199 can get full talk-time with Reliance Card as and when necessary.

The Card works on all RIM phones that have outgoing call facility.
