Problem In Connecting Qxdm To Sprint Hero

Hi Guys,

I am facing this problem :

For the first time when I connected the hero to PC, and dialed ##3424#, it asked for the Diag driver which I successfully installed. At that time, I was also able to use QXDM.

Now whenever I try to connect Hero and use QXDM, it never connects, though in ports, I can see one port as "HTC diagnostic".

I have uninstalled driver also, but all in vain.

I am using Win XP SP 3. QXDM : above 3 version.

Looking forward for your valuable suggestions !

when u connect ur hero to pc

u have to start htc sync everytime for pc to detect ur hero in diag mode

so dial ##3424# connect to pc , from notification bar press on htc sync

Dr, done steps according to you but still its not connecting to QXDM. I am able to see HTC Diagnostic Interface(COM12), but no port is coming in the QXDM as target port.

did u configure the port in qpst configuration

unless u do that qxdm wont show

if ur com port 12 is showing diag interface

then go to qpst configuration

add port

and add com port 12

Also you can try changing the port number (in device manager) from 12 to 1 or 2. or to your old port number

then try to connect to QXDM

This worked ! I didnt knew that QPST configuration is required for QXDM. Thanks

One more thing, can I use UniCDMA to take the memory of Hero ?
