me_saket 73 Report post Posted February 13, 2010 source Palm stops production of CDMA Pre and Pre Plus Posted on Feb 12, 10 01:31 PM PDT Word has it that Palm has told Foxconn to stop all production of CDMA Pre and Pre Plus smartphones, which currently see action from Sprint and Verizon, respectively. This temporary suspension applies to the month of February only, and it seems that nobody else knows whether shipment will resume from March onwards. Other quarters claim that Palm has issued this directive not because it is in trouble, but due to the Chinese New Year holidays. Do you buy that story from Palm? jithesh405 4 Report post Posted April 12, 2010 lol there is neither a problem nor a financial trouble palm have already given official statement on the matter google it Muffadal ji, Its rumored that PALM is up for sale and has started receiving bids. Latest news is that HTC and LENOVO are the front runners in buying Palm and acquiring the technology as well as the proprietary Web OS. More news will be out soon. One thing is sure they are in deep financial trouble as the new releases havent saved them from competition from Blackberry and Apple. Android is also the arranging nails to fix the coffin for Palm. A good smart phone but poor marketing..We may see an HTC pre or HTC pixi soon.. HTC will be more interested as Palm I heard is the patent holder for touch screen technology (which was co developed by Apple-not sure) and HTC and Apple are not in the best of relationships.
