Gtran Ruim Works On Other Gtrans

I tried swapping RUIM from one GTRAN to another today and guess what it works!!!

You can make calls and use r-world ------- it is just like a sim card----- just the phone book and sms are not transferred. So it should be possible to swap phones easily with other ones from reliance with ruim slots i guess.

I havent tried this with TATA indicom phones. And the New NOKIA 3105 has a working RUIM slot like GTRAN. SO i guess it should be easy to swap phones.

You need to do some alterations if you want to use RUIM on Reliance phones, like Nokia 2280. Its very easy once you instal Diego. But, you still wont be authorised to make calls
