Dear Members,

For the past few days I and most of people here would have noticed that people would just post topics like

Mogul For Sale

Good Condition Excellent features .interested people contact me

then the forum members in single reply ask

whats the price you expecting

why are you selling?

post some photos

and a series of question ... which I think is just like spamming the Topic....its ok but now every thread is the same so incomplete...why is this???

So i want new Rules for the forum[additional to existing]

That Price must be quoted or pmed

Photos should be posted

reason for selling should be given

shipping info should be given..etc

I want peoples view on this.......

but dear doc how many times we have people one by one asking for Photos , Shipping , Price etc etc

I too agree that the seller should mention the price in his listing but the negotiations can be done through PMs .

And also there should be some fixed format for posting in Buy/Sell section . Something like KoolK mentioned .

All the sellers should mention these basic things like -

Complete Product details -

Price -

reason for selling -

shipping info -

Photos should be posted for used items .

Exactly.... Let one come out with a price and then negotiate on PM on one to one basis.

Second, let the buy sell forum be simpler by a format. I mean, as soon as a person hits "Start a new topic" tab, let a format come out asking for a similar option. Let the buyer also have a similar format.

The system can take in the data once the form is completed. It will standardise the things and make the data accessible in a better way!

in addition to that ..

can we also have spec link of the product that link to company's product page.

this help the buyer to get authenticate info about the product and help him to take a quick discussion for purchase

A standard format to be followed when posting a topic in the Buy/Sell forum is the best thing to happen, but not everyone is going to read the format and post according to the format. A form based posting system that forces the member to enter the required items will not be a possibility. So should ALL new topics in the Buy/Sell forum any ANYONE be queued for verification by a moderator before it is approved to make sure the format is there and if it is not there then the moderator should ask the member to re-post it in the proper format?

I am not convinced with the moderation of Buy/Sell i fell that a form should me made with fields compulsory, after all moderators are going to do that... so let it be automated Pics can be optional.
