aviator 3 Report post Posted February 17, 2010 What i meant was: "Just as we were getting used to a rising stock market, Shopping Malls on every corner in our consumeristic cities, billions of dollars coming in from FRI's, all on the basis that we have such a young population - just as everyone (but the poor farmers) were celebrating and the headlines were screaming about India's economic development - came the news that the a third of the world's poorest people live in India ! And this is just when we were getting used to the idea that a third of worlds teenagers were living in India - so they are amongst the poorest in the world. What is the truth of India ? Are we really becoming two nations - and how long before there is intense conflict, ? Civil war ? Between the new lifestyles of billionaires and millionaires observed by those who live on the streets holding the little hands of their children that have not eaten for two days. Sixty years and we can't provide drinking Water and sanitation!!!!!"
SumitVerma 187 Report post Posted February 17, 2010 (edited) Land rates are sky high! Why will farmers plow when they can sell land for crores and earn what they can only dream of? Day ain't far when we will Import our own exported rice and wheat! Your point is true aswell! There is money when ministers want to make statues, dont wanna waste time and want air travel. Dont wanna name anyone here but I see every other day Chief Ministers in a shining new S-class covered by 11 Ford Endeavors which will soon be replaced by Toyota Fortuner. there is an ambulance, fire brigade and a full army following just one person. Where is all the money gone when its about development? Have you ever seen P.M's transportation? Its like whole Army is being moved from A to B, He is in a special Beemer 7 series bullet proof and covered by 25 beemer X5 and tonnes of other vehicles! I spent 2 years in New Zealand and the prime minister Mrs. Helen Clark had no security whatsoever and she used to drive her car on her own. I am not complaining about the money spent on Ministers' security but why not for India's development? A severe step is to be taken to flush off these kinda behavior else future ain't too bright for Indians! Edited February 18, 2010 by sumitvrma

SumitVerma 187 Report post Posted February 17, 2010 ^ Dear you are right! But there is no way out! Who wants to waste money uselessly? But when you know there is no way out apart from bribing, you are helpless and have to follow the tradition. There is a systematic way which should be followed! The whole System is corrupt, from the Supreme to the Peons! We have every potential to be the world power! Excellent Brains, Perfect Conditions for every bit, We are not behind in technology anywhere, etc. We are to blame ourselves, true. But this is so vastly spread that you cant just help it all alone. Gandhi said "Be the change you want to see in world", but this wont apply anymore, we have to urge people to join us this initiative!

aviator 3 Report post Posted February 18, 2010 "Aam aadmi is no more safe in India" But Uneducated, hoglians, worthless ministers should get full security. What hav they provided us in the past 60 years?? Drinking water scarcity, Irregular supplies of electricity, Higher food and medicine prices. Is it really democracy - The government by the people and for the people. Although many thinkers say that bureaucrats may bring a change once reins are handed over to them but are they corruption free????? Its not american product, its american concepts which are not good for us needed to be kicked out, we do not try to be american where needed. We need to have society based on our value. I am not talking about moral police ways, I am talking about humane way, where every one get education, opportunity and welfare. NNo one stops us from not using mulltinational products. Look at the investments they made and profites they earn out of useless product. Any one who is interested in listening to Rajeev DIxit (Azadi bachao andolan) may PM me his / her address to get MP3 cd's of his lactures. We may not agree with what ever he says but end of the day fact is that there is substance in what he says. Reason for we being so low was explained by Robert Clieve after PLASI WAR, where he had just few hundred soldiers. After winning war, he has mentioned in his memoirs that there were hundreds of thousand of people standing in queue, had they picked up stone and threw on us, we would have died. We need to change ourselves first, we get rulers like us only. We as an individual may not be bad, but we as a society are certainly not upto the mark. We need to teach our children to think and question authorities. Instead we teach them not to think, just comply to authority be it school authority or family authority or social or governmental. In process we become hypocrite and neither follow nor respect authorities, hence we become corrupt and try to find ways by bribing so that we do not have to comply. Compliance without respect is painful , but compliance with respect is satisfying. Edited February 18, 2010 by kshah

dkaile 1,051 Report post Posted February 18, 2010 (edited) Like said before, First look within rather than blaming the system... we are the system... I like the concept of the movie Rocket Singh - Salesman of the Year.... no matter how bad the odds, how mismanaged the system, If you have enterprise, YOU WILL SUCCEED.... Dont blame your inefficiencies on the system... Persist with your ideas, Keep dreaming, Work towards your dreams, Do what you really like, not what you are meant to like... Come to North India and see, specially West UP; its total lawlessness here; still we survive and we flourish... Its what called as JUGAAD in the local vernacular here... We find ways and means to take work out from this system... Lots needs to change, no denying that fact.... but keep moving, keep persisting and change will come... and INDIA, (which is still Great BTW) WILL BE GREATER THAN EVER.... @sadikk - kfc ka sabse bada customer to tu hi hai yaar... inse ladne ka nahi, enjoy karne kaa... in mc/bc ko inke hi game me marne kaa... jaisa YOU are doing... ACS 130 Report post Posted February 18, 2010 1) Pizza reaches home faster than the Ambulance or Police. One question has always chewed my brains.. nobody has any answer. If the ambulance wala or the hospital is so concerned about patients, why not take them to the nearest Hospital instead of making money at their premises ? We guys wear a worried face when we see an ambulance honking his c*ck out & sub-consciously make way.. But are they really concerned about the patients they carry ? OR just want 'hare patte' at the end of the 'major life saving operation' ? Govt must step in & make it mandatory for all ambulance services to be kinda merged & have a 'profit sharing business model in case of emergency patients' for all hospitals if they so please. Imagine an ambulance blaring his c*ck outside Jaslok Hospital, wanting to fly to Bombay Hospital 8 kms away!
SumitVerma 187 Report post Posted February 19, 2010 ^ Very nice point indeed sir! These hospitals are not for saving lives anymore they are to make money out of human bodies! Hosiptal today is better than any other business these days and people are helpless and have to do what doctor tells them as they cannot risk their lives! ( These words are not for all but there are quite a private hospitals which are doing this ) I do always think about it in different way! If govt. reduces just one police escort from Ministers' " Kaafila " and make them to escort Ambulance! how many more lives could be saved? If I were part of govt. officials that would have been the first thing that I would be doing!

In India its exact opposite. They are nor respected because they are not trained, educated and they can not appear superior than common person. Unless we the people do not assume responsibility for poor social conditions and till we do not raise above cast, religion and state politicians are going to exploit our weakness. It's we who are devided not them - they are united and we all know united wins. Politicians are borne from society so they represent societal behaviour at large, once they get power they are smart people knowing weakness of mass. So certainly will exploit. sumitnda 6 Report post Posted February 19, 2010 (edited) some really valid points are coming across here... even now, wen shahrukh was being targeted... it was pretty clear that shiv sena was doing it for "marathi/hindu votes" and congress was opposing it for so called "minority appeasement/ UP-Bihar votes"...there was no one fighting for shahrukh-the indian!! and where was the same central and state government wen scores of film-makers,actors and others were harassed by that idiot called raj thakerey?? the same congress govts (at centre n state) wont do anything then...and why?? coz congress is using MNS to weaken shiv sena- BJP... here every action is taken for a political perspective... its actually very difficult to fight the wrong wen the Govt is either neutral or even on the side of the wrong... that same age-old thing again comes back to light here--- VOTING!! it all depends upon whom we elect... we vote for these idiots and we get governed by them... its a vicious circle... atleast here i can be proud of one thing, the citizens of my state "bihar", by some miracle, voted for nitish kumar... and the results are there to see...of course bihar hasnt cleaned its image totally yet. still, its improving at a very fast pace... and its progress has been appreciated by one and all... so if a caste-ridden and fractured society like bihar can come up and vote sensibly(so wat if it was after some 30 years of stupid voting!!), there's no reason why other developed and much more literate states can't do that... (btw, while i write it here, i'm keeping my fingers crossed that even in this years election, the people vote for development.. nahin to laaluji "chamatkar" se "balatkar" kar denge!!!) we all need to enlighten the people around us, the people we meet, the people we talk to... he could be the auto driver or the mechanic.... we need to tell everyoen around us about the impact of good voting.. and in our respective areas we need to find the "genuine politician" (if there is one!!) and motivate people to support him/her...
